And everything stops. Really, truly stops.
I hold my breath, afraid it might get in the way of this incredible feeling. Of this glorious, beautiful fullness. I can feel my body stretching, adjusting to him, so I exhale, all of my nerve endings suddenly standing at attention.
Then he moves.
If anything still existed in this time-stopped world, it fades away. Nothing remains but Ewan and me, and how full I feel. How right this feels. How perfect it is.
How perfect he is.
“Oh, fuck, you are so tight.”
We continue to move, just the two of us, a jumble of limbs and kisses, finding a rhythm that works for us. One where it doesn’t matter that we’re as uncoordinated as can be in this unchoreographed symphony, because our bodies are doing all the talking. And they are screaming. Loudly.
The swirling feeling in my gut returns, this time with a vengeance. There’s no stopping it, the storm brewing inside me ready to clash and take me with it.
“I’m…I’m gonna…”
“Yeah, baby…” Ewan says, reaching in between us, finding my clit with his thumb. “Come for me.”
Again, that’s all it takes.
Thunder booms within me, rocking me to the core. All my synapses are firing at will, taking over, a beautiful chorus of rests and beats. My eyes slam shut, fireworks blinding me as the pleasure takes over.
In the distance, I hear Ewan roar, his pace picking up, his thumb never leaving my clit, his own climax rushing through him. Collapsing on top of me, he heaves out a sigh, then wraps me in his arms, rolling us over so that I’m resting on his chest.
The heavy, steady beat of his heart against his ribs lures me into a trance, and I lie there, drifting away in a bliss I can’t name, happy and secure in my new confirmation.
Ewan is mine. All mine.
And I am his.
As it should be.
“Guess I’m going to have to keep this tent,” he says with a chuckle after a long moment.
I consider lifting my head to look at him, but I’m enjoying the movement of his chest from his breathing too much to move. Instead, I shift, snuggling into him more.
“Don’t you keep all the items?” I ask, realizing halfway through my question it might be a stupid one. I suppose just because he owns the store doesn’t mean he keeps all the display merchandise.
“Depends on the items. Really popular items I keep a display on hand at all times. But usually with the camping gear, something new comes out every year, so I sell off the store display for a discount at some point.”
Oh. Oooops…
“No one will ever have to know,” I offer, guilt creeping in that he might lose a sale over my impulsiveness.
“But I’ll know. And there’s no way I’m letting the tent I first fucked you in go home with someone else.”
I laugh. I don’t think he meant for that to be as funny as it came out—actually, I know he didn’t—but the seriousness in his tone, paired with the pride on his face is too much. My heart can’t handle it.
How did I ever walk away from this?
“Sorry, unsuspecting customer,” I mimic. “You cannot have a souvenir from our first time together.”
“Exactly.”
“Oh, Ewan,” I sigh, pushing up to look at him. “What am I going to do with you?”
“You could fuck me again.”
