“I’ll have food sent up to you if it looks like I’m going to be gone for a while.” He’s at the door when he turns back. “I’m not fucking kidding, Saylor. Do not let me catch you outside of this room until I get back.”

He doesn’t wait for a response. The door closes behind him, and the room is quiet.

I fall onto my back and lie there for a minute staring at the ceiling. My thighs are slick, and my wrists are raw. The bite marks all over my body continue to throb.

I finally make myself get up and pull one of his shirts from the closet. It hits me mid-thigh and smells like him. My cunt clenches from how much I already crave him.

I don’t have any panties yet. I could snoop around and figure out where he’s keeping all the panties he’s taken from me, but I’m guessing I’ll never find them. I unlock my phone and type a quick text to Kynlee.

Me: Get your ass over here. Did Justin have to go to the meeting, too? Axl said your door is next to ours, but he won’t let me leave this room.

Three dots appear. Then disappear. Then appear again.

Kyns: Give me 5.

She’s usually chattier than that. Although, we both know what we were each doing last night. And I really don’t want to hear the details of her having sex with my brother. I’m just glad I couldn’t actually hear them. Let’s hope these walls are thick.

Me: Hurry and knock so I know to let you in.

I wander around the suite while I wait. My feet still hurt, but I can’t sit still. Axl surprised the shit out of me last night when he put some kind of ointment on the cuts. His tender moments in this arrangement confuse the fuck out of me.

I stop my pacing when I realize the bed is still a mess—sheets twisted, pillows on the floor, rope still looped through the headboard. I pick up the comforter and toss it over the mess.

The suite is actually really nice. It’s like a high-end college dorm room. There’s a living area with a leather couch and a TV mounted on the wall. It has a small kitchenette with a sink and a few appliances. Most importantly, there’s a coffee maker. I put one of the coffee pods in the machine and reach for a cup. I roll my eyes when I see there’s a mug sitting there with “Good Girl” printed on it. The cocky asshole plans everything.

I press the button to start brewing the coffee, then pick up the towel from the bathroom floor and tidy things while I impatiently wait for my best friend.

The knock comes, and I check the peephole. Kynlee is standing in the hallway in an oversized t-shirt that has to be Justin’s. She’s got shorts underneath, and her hair is in a messy bun.

I open the door and she walks in, looking around the suite. Her eyes stop on the bed and the rope still looped through the headboard.

“You lucky fucking bitch.”

“Do I even want to know?” I hand her the Good Girl mug because she’ll also find it funny, and I go back to make myself another cup. “Do you want to talk about anything? But don’t be specific. I don’t want any details regarding what my brother is like in bed.”

She sits on the couch and pulls her knees up to her chest, wrapping both hands around the mug. She reads the words on it and shakes her head, laughing to herself before taking a sip.

“It was fine.” She shrugs. “It was awkward more than anything.”

“What exactly does fine mean?”

“What do you want me to say, Sayl? He fucked me, we went to sleep, and then he had to go to whatever meeting they were called into.” She nods toward the bed. “I’d much rather hear about your night.”

I pick up my coffee after it finishes brewing. It’s in the solid black mug that was there. It immediately makes me miss Axl. I’ve become a pathetic bitch already. I sit beside Kynlee on the couch.

“He tied me up. Edged me until I cried. Fucked me until I couldn’t walk. And then did it again throughout the night and three times this morning.”

“God, you greedy slut. Getting all the good sex and keeping it for yourself.”

She smiles, but it doesn’t reach her eyes. Her fingers are tight around the mug, and her knees are pressed to her chest. She looks smaller than I’ve ever seen her look.

“Kyns, are you sure you’re alright?”

“I’m good.” The words come out a bit too fast for me to believe her. “Seriously. It’s just an adjustment. It’s a lot, you know? Yesterday I was a college senior, and today I’m living in the Talon mansion with your brother. I just don’t think we’re that thrilled about fucking each other. But it could be worse.” She takes another sip. “At least Veronica will be here today when our stuff gets delivered.”

Kynlee leans forward and tilts my face with her finger. “And what the fuck happened to your eye?” She studies the bruise and then looks over my body, worry in her furrowed brow. “Did Axl hit you? And you have bite marks all over you.”

“No, of course not. I mean the bite marks are from him, but he wasn’t the one who hit me.” I pull my face back and take a sip of coffee, steadying myself from the awful memory of what happened in the woods. And how much worse things would have been if Axl hadn’t been there. “Some other Talon grabbed me in the woods before Axl found me.”
