Konrad hit his prostate once more, and Wraith threw back his head. He shouted. His cock spurted between them as ecstasy burned his veins.
Konrad cried out and shoved forward, burying himself deep inside Wraith and filling him with his cum.
They held still as their breathing returned to normal. They disentangled. Konrad left the bed, got a couple of cloths, dipped them in the basin of water, and returned to the bed to clean them both up.
“So I know I have apologised for my past behaviour,” Konrad said as he wiped the cloth over Wraith’s belly. “But I wanted to apologise again, especially for how I acted after you told me you’d—” He cleared his throat. “—had sex with ghosts.”
“That’s okay,” Wraith said. And he meant it. Things were good between them, and he didn’t want to get lost back in how things had been at the start.
Konrad shook his head. “No. It wasn’t. I judged before knowing any of the details.” He threw the soiled cloth to the floor and grabbed the other one to clean himself.
Then Konrad gave a sheepish smile. “In fact, I’m kind of curious now. If you are open to it, can you tell me about it? You don’t have to,” he rushed out. “After how I spoke to you, I have no right to ask.”
“I don’t mind.” And Wraith didn’t. Because Konrad had changed so greatly since that day. Konrad felt like a completely different person to the man Wraith had originally met and married.
So Wraith found himself opening up and talking about his experiences with ghosts. Konrad listened. No disgust flitted across his face.
Afterwards, Konrad lay beside him. He pulled Wraith into his arms. “Okay. I admit it. That sounds sexy. Not at all gross or disgusting.”
“I’m glad you think so. Although, now my days of sex with ghosts are over,” Wraith said.
“That’s good to hear, as I would definitely be jealous of you having sex with ghosts.” Konrad paused. “I hope you won’t miss it too much.”
Wraith shook his head. “Sex with you has been better than sex with any ghost.”
Konrad chuckled. “I’m glad to hear it.”
Then Wraith tensed. “Um … Konrad.”
Konrad lifted his head. “What’s wrong?”
“Your father is here.”
Chapter
Forty-Three
Konrad bolted upright. He scrambled to tug the blankets out from beneath them. Wraith laughed as Konrad covered both their laps.
“Where is he?” Konrad looked around. Of course, he could see no one.
“He’s over there.” Wraith pointed. “Right beside the bed and in front of the cupboard.”
“Dragon gods,” Konrad muttered. “Why does he have to turn up now?” He had been prepared for his dead father to turn up at some point. But he had not expected him to appear whilst Konrad was naked and in bed after just fucking Wraith.
“Don’t worry. If he was disturbed by our nudity, he wouldn’t be here,” Wraith said. “And you get naked to shift all the time. Surely he’s seen you nude before.”
“That doesn’t mean I’m okay with him seeing me naked with you after we’ve just—” Konrad cut himself off. Although it would be clear to anyone what they’d just been up to, saying it in front of his dead father still felt wrong. “It’s different. It feels different for him to see me naked like this.”
But Wraith didn’t seem to be listening to him. His gaze was fixed on the spot he’d pointed to.
“Is my father speaking?”
Wraith nodded.
“What is he saying?” Konrad asked, even though he knew he should stay quiet and let Wraith listen.
Wraith didn’t answer. But he pursed his lips. He kind of looked like he was trying not to laugh. Then Wraith broke out in giggles. He took a breath and said, “He says you must do your duty and—” A fit of laughter overtook him.
