“Sorry. I hate it when fluid drenches me. My skin gets all sticky.” She scrunched up her beautiful face. “My fingers stick together.” She squinted at her hand, separating her digits that were indeed adhering to one another. “See? It’s not fun. I could maybe lick them.” A cute grimace shaped her lips like she was debating the idea in her head. “Think this would solve the stickiness problem?” She brought a finger to her mouth, sucking on it. Fucking fuck, again, was she real?
I blinked but said nothing, commanding my cock to stay put. Could she be so clueless about everything coming out of her mouth?
Abby moved behind me, wheeling my chair forward. I rolled my head to watch her. “Girl, you’re crazier than I thought.” But deep down, I kinda craved her craziness by now. It kept me on my toes. Well, not toes since I was sitting down, but still. I loved how unpredictable the night had been so far.
She tsk-tsked. “Make up your mind, Aaandy.” Why was my name like a sex prayer every time she said it? Goddamn it. “I’m either crazy and fun or good and nice.”
“Why can’t you be both?”
“Because. Sometimes I’m tired of being the nice girl. The one everyone expects something from. The one who’s always there for everyone else and puts herself last. The one who says Yes even when she wants to say No. The loyal-to-a-fault person others expect her to be. The pressure is real.”
Her ocean-blue irises brimmed with tears, and an ache surrounded my heart.
“Hey, let’s be bad then. I’m all in.”
The flames grew back in her eyes, and she nodded.
“But just so you know, there’s nothing wrong in being a good girl,” I said, looking straight into her eyes.
“Thanks. For saying that.” She pulled my Santa hat over my eyes. “Let’s go somewhere.”
“Where? I can’t see.” Hating the idea I couldn’t see a thing, I drummed my fingers against the armrests.
“That’s the idea. Be patient.”
She wheeled me forward.
“Hey, where are you taking me?” I shifted in the chair. “Your driving is making me dizzy.”
“You’ll see, Aaandy. Can you stop moving for a minute? Breathe, you’ll be fine.”
The humdrum of the airport had muffled. I nodded, swallowing the lump forming in my throat. “I have nowhere else to go. I won’t try to escape, I swear.”
I heard some noises coming from behind me. Was she rummaging through the bag hung from the chair? The sound of a door clicking made me nervous. My heartbeat deafened me when I felt the weight of her on my lap, her voice in my ears, her whiskey and minty breath filling my nostrils. “No peeking,” she said, her voice trembling. “No moving. You have to stay still. Do you promise?”
My Adam’s apple worked. The darkness heightened all my senses.
“Yes. I do.”
“I wanna play another game with you. It’s different from what we’ve been doing all night. Can I get a free pass and challenge you again?”
I swallowed. Hard. My breathing accelerated. And so did my heart rate. “Yes.”
“When I’m done, I’ll be a good sport and take part in whatever you throw my way.”
“Deal.” My voice felt stilted.
“See, I’ll let you taste something. You have to guess what it is.”
I bobbed my head.
“Do you like sweets?”
I nodded.
The sound of a plastic wrap being torn open reached my ears. Something hard rubbed against my lips.
“Open your mouth, Aaandy.”
