Sean considered Kellan’s words. They’ll want me to testify too. He hadn’t suffered anywhere
near as long as Kellan had, but he knew what he meant. His time with Finn and his swan minions had
been fading away too. The longer he basked in Avi’s love, the more his moments with Finn seemed
like nothing more than a horrible dream.
If only Gary knew that everything turned out all right.

Kellan shrugged “They’ll probably get the Yukon caves.”
Sean’s eyes rounded. “What’s that?”

network questioned witnesses. One of the male shifters caught Sean’s eye, and after pushing the fully
shackled fox shifter seller onto the ground, he headed in Sean’s direction.
“I believe this belongs to you.”
He handed Sean the silver frame that held the picture of his parents, the glass having become
cracked during the scuffle. Sean accepted the treasured item from him as he swallowed down his
tears.
“Thank you. This…this means a lot to me.”
“Would you like to go through the rest of the things and identify your belongings?”
Sean gave him a shaky nod, then followed the shifter to where the bag was that Finn had
