Avi sighed and ran a hand across the top of his head.

Chef ’s Corner it is.

Chapter Two

After ruining his chances with Avi at work, Sean couldn’t face visiting Kellan, or really, seeing

anyone. In addition to the menu debacle, he’d stuttered and stumbled through practically every

sentence he’d spoken to Avi then managed to drop half his breakfast on the floor. The only saving

grace was that he hadn’t dumped it on Avi. It’s just that he hadn’t realized how easy it was to send

toast sailing through the air. It was his first breakfast service and he hadn’t known that whisking the

small plate onto the table with a flourish wouldn’t be the best move.

Sean sat perched on the side of his bed in the room the Inn provided him for being an employee.

He stared out of the sliding glass doors that led to the balcony, taking in the view of the crystalline

He’d fall asleep in Sean’s arms or gurgle and coo while Sean waved a rattle or stuffed toy. Erik’s

favorite was a cute wolf.

I’d make a good daddy. I know I would.

He wasn’t stupid. He figured Avi thought he was too young to nest—but that was ridiculous.

Even if he was only nineteen, Kellan was young, and he saw how happy he was with his wolf mate.

And anyway, Sean had been dreaming of meeting his fated mate from almost the first moment he’d

started noticing other males. Building his own family was even more important to him now that Finn

and his herd had stolen everything from him.

Gary…

Sean gave himself a mental shake and went about changing out of his work clothes. He had to
