“Easy.”

The man focused on me.

“You’re dead.”

“Probably.”

“Today?”

“No.”

I held up his radio.

“You’re going to tell them you have Wynn.”

He laughed weakly.

“And why would I do that?”

“Because if you don’t, I’m giving you to her.”

His gaze moved toward Wynn.

She folded her arms.

“I’m extremely upset.”

Boone nodded solemnly.

“I’d cooperate.”

The copilot smiled despite the blood on his teeth.

“You won’t kill me.”

“No,” Wynn said as she stepped closer. “But I might tell Lucas you touched me again.”

The copilot’s smile disappeared.

Boone looked delighted.

“She really does fit in.”

I pressed the radio against the traitor’s chest.

“Tell them you have Wynn.”

“They’ll know I’m lying.”

“Then make it convincing.”

“And after that?”

“You’re going for a swim.”

Everyone stared at me.
