Hawk moved closer.

“Everyone stay away from the containers.”

Adam pulled against his restraints.

“Can you stop it?”

“I don’t know.”

Boone stared at the countdown.

“Please tell me that’s eighteen hours.”

Hawk shook his head.

“Minutes.”

The lights flickered again.

Ghost looked toward Colonel Demir.

“What’s inside those containment units?”

The colonel answered in Turkish.

Ghost’s expression turned grim.

“What did he say?” I asked.

“Something capable of killing every person within ten miles.”

The clock reached eighteen minutes.

Lucas moved toward me.

His bound hands closed around mine.
