“Thank you, Jack.” Alex knew anything else would be dismissed.

He got a grunt in response. “Just go do your job, Alex.”

The phone went dead, and Alex looked at Evelyn who had concluded her call and was watching him expectantly.

“Jack?”

“Yeah.” He nodded as he reached out and cupped her cheek wishing he could lock her away until he had dealt with this. He knew she would never forgive him though, and to deny her this would destroy their new relationship before it began.

“I guess we’re off to Monaco then.” Her lithe, sexy and very naked body distracted for a second as she stood and moved to the bathroom.
