“This how you greet me, treacle?”

Her head tipped, and he saw she was taking his words wrong as she tried to step back from him, but he held fast to her and shook his head. “Don’t do that. Don’t back away from me because you’re unsure. If you feel something, then talk to me.”

She looked away, not meeting his eyes.

“Taamira.”

She looked at him with defiance. “How do I greet you then?”

Her words were said with heat that had him wanting to kiss her until she was putty in his hands. He didn’t speak. Instead, he leaned in close and kissed her. At first, she was rigid, but only for a second before she melted into the kiss, opening her mouth for his tongue. He mastered her mouth as he laid claim to her, his hands pulling her closer so she would know what she did to him. How much he wanted her, he wanted there to be no doubt as to what he wanted.

He thought he would die from the need to touch her, her blunt fingernails dug into his shoulders as her tits flattened against him, making his dick so hard he thought he would combust from the need to feel her tight heat surrounding him. It was only the remembrance that she was a virgin that had him pulling back.

Liam gazed down into her flushed face, saw the drugged look of desire in her eyes and wondered if he looked the same way. Never had a woman made him want in this way, never had one responded so completely to his touch.

“Now, that was a greeting.”

“Is that what you want?”

“If that’s how you want to give it, but yes, that would be my preference.”

“I think it’s a good way to say hello to people.” The smirk on her lips showed she was teasing him, but he growled anyway.

“Not people, Princess. Only me.”

“As you wish.”

Liam looked behind her at the mess and quirked an eyebrow. “What you cooking?”

Taamira sighed. “The girls introduced me to something called Pinterest, and it has these lovely recipes they say are easy, but this is trickier than I thought.”

“I’m sure it will be fine. Is that for tonight?”

“Yes, I wanted to surprise you.”

Liam’s heart warmed with emotion that she wanted to do this for him. It was difficult to believe this was the same woman from twelve months ago.

“Thank you, that means a lot.”

Her smile was radiant as she replied, “You are most welcome.”

Liam pulled away so that she could continue doing her thing, but he didn’t go far, just leaned against the counter. “What did you think of the girls? The picture Blake sent me showed you having fun.”

“Oh, I did. They are so nice, and they gave me some very sound advice.”

Liam tensed slightly. “They did?”

“Yes, I wanted to talk to you about it later if that is okay?”

“Of course, that sounds great. How about I take a shower, and then you can relax for a few hours while I work to get everything in place for the speech. Can we talk over dinner?”

She nodded. “Yes, that does sound good.”

Liam lifted his chin and moved to the door but stopped when she called his name.

“Liam?”

“Yes, Princess?”
