Clay looked at her, and she was unsure. She usually spent it with her brothers and Dad, although this year might be different.
“I need to check with Martin and Todd and see what they have planned. We usually spend it together.”
“Bring them, too. The more the merrier. Or better yet, why don’t I fly Mom and the girls here, and we can all spend it together?” Reid looked at Callie, and then Clay and her.
“Okay, if you don’t mind.”
“You’re Clay’s and that makes you family. And that includes your brothers.”
“And Todd’s husband Kai.”
Hattie knew not everyone approved of gay marriage even in this day and age, and hated that for him. Knowing Reid and Callie’s reaction could change how she saw them, she paused.
“Great, so that’s Todd and Kai, Martin, and does he have a partner?” Reid raised a brow in question
Hattie let out a breath. “No, but I’m working on it.”
“Oh, I can help. I have single friends.”
Reid laughed and kissed Callie’s head, and Clay reached over and kissed her hard.
“See, I told you they were good people.”
“They are, and so are you.”
