“Not sure yet. I need to get my head straight and face a few demons and maybe say goodbye to some things.”

“This about Savannah?”

“In part, but I also need to do this for me.”

Jack gripped his shoulder. “Take all the time you need, but we’re here if you need us. We aren’t just friends, we’re your family.”

“I know and I appreciate it, but I need to do this alone.”

“Fair enough but stay in touch. If we think you need us, we’ll be there anyway, understand?”

“Thanks, Jack.”

“No problem.”

“Oh, one last thing. Can you keep an eye on Savannah for me? She’s upset and I hate the thought of her being alone.”

Jack smiled a knowing grin and nodded. “I’ll have Astrid handle it.”

Decker walked out of the pub, went home, packed a bag, and headed for the airport. It was time to confront his past.
