“Is that an actual picnic blanket?” The sight of the blanket in his hand was so incongruous, she couldn’t help but laugh as he struggled to lay it out.

“What? Tess let me borrow it. I thought it’d be nice.”

“It is nice. It’s okay if I just collapse right onto it, right?” she asked, proceeding to do exactly that.

She closed her eyes, listening to the breeze over her head. It was one of those strange fall days that almost―though not quite―felt like summer again.

“Mmmm… you were right. This is amazing.”

Moments later, Drake dropped onto the blanket next to her. She reached out to clasp his hand and pulled him on top of her. He kept his weight on his forearms to avoid crushing her, but she felt his lower body against her―felt the hard length that told her just how happy he was to see her.

“I’m not sure mountain biking together is such a good idea,” he whispered in her ear.

“No?”

“I’ve had a hard-on the whole morning.“

Her hand stroked down the length of his body. Drake hissed in a breath.

“I brought a light picnic for us, but we’re not going to get to it if you keep doing that.”

“What if I’m hungry for something else?” she asked, caressing the outline of his cock, surprised by her own forwardness. She’d never had sex outdoors before but, with Drake, for the first time in her life she felt safe to explore. She opened her eyes. “We are alone up here, right?”

“I’ve never seen anybody else up here,” he confirmed, “and if someone were to come, we’d see them long before they saw us.”

“Good,” she said, licking her lips.

In reply, Drake pressed his mouth to hers, his touch soft but firm. Isolde opened her mouth, brushing her tongue against his lips, letting him know she wanted more. He took the hint, exploring the inside of her mouth with his tongue, the intensity building until the feel of his mouth on hers was the only thing that mattered in the world― and still she wanted more.

His hands went down to her breasts, caressing the soft globes. Her nipples rose to hard peaks.

Isolde moaned. “Drake …”

“You drive me insane,” he muttered. “Absolutely insane.”

In a flurry of activity, they both shimmied out of their biking shorts. Following Drake’s instructions, Isolde hadn’t put on underwear under the shorts, so after a few instants of wriggling they found themselves naked below the waist.

“Are you sure nobody will see us?”

“I’m sure, but if it’ll make you feel better …” Drake grabbed the edge of the huge picnic blanket and draped it over them. “Let me see if I can’t get you thinking about something else.”

Moments later, his clever mouth on her pussy, she forgot to think of anything else. It was a long time before either of them remembered the picnic he’d packed for them.

“So, what was your favorite bit?” Drake asked later, as he strapped the bicycles to the bike rack once more. They’d both changed into a pair of jeans when they got back to the car―in his case, he’d foregone his boxer shorts and was going commando.

“Hmm… definitely the view up on that ridge,” she teased.

He laughed. “I thought the view was pretty exquisite as well. We’ll have to go back there soon.”

Isolde dropped onto the SUV’s seat. “Soon. But not today. I’m exhausted.”

Drake looked at his watch to check on the distance. Maybe he’d pushed her too hard on the way down. “I know downhill rides can be stressful at first. How about you come to my place, I’ll run you a warm bath and cook some dinner?”

Isolde’s eyes lit up at the thought. “Sounds like a plan.”
