With my free hand I pointed directly in his face, barely missing his pointy ass nose.
“And this shit between us still ain’t over. You’ll see me soon, bitch.”
We were halfway up the aisle when he finally found his voice, scary ass.
“You’re making a big fucking mistake, Karsyn. He won’t be able to save you from behind
bars.”
“Shut your bitch ass up and do it, you know where to find me, ol’ cloud looking ass nigga. Looking like you’re ready to stand your ass up there and get married.”
She didn’t speak the entire way back to my house, instead sitting in the back seat quiet and fragile, something she never was. I had fucked up and it would take an act of God for me to fix everything I had broken in her.
The car barely came to a stop before she was hopping out and running into the gate with that big, ugly ass white dress. Then, to make matters worse, she tripped up the damn stairs over the veil barely on her head. She didn’t fall too badly though, just enough to make that mad dash she had going on halt.
She turned around mad as hell, pointing toward the car. “Don’t you dare fucking laugh. This is not funny.”
“It’s funny as hell. Now take your mad ass in the house and take that dress off,” I said loudly out of the car window.
She huffed dramatically and continued into the house. Right after the screen door closed behind her, I glanced over at Junnie. She had yet to get out of the car, eyes on the woman who had just stormed into the house.
“Well, that’s done. I got a job for you, shorty.”
“What?”
“Plan the wedding.”
Confusion filled her features. “For whom?”
“You know who. Tomorrow night, out back. Small shit, by the end of the night we saying ‘I do.’”
Junnie was quiet. “Posydiann, that is—”
“How you make up for being a shitty ass cousin. Telling my woman to do what’s best for her. I’m what’s best for her.” I finished Junnie’s statement for her.
Junnie shook her head. “I cannot believe you think I owe you anything.”
“You do, and you just helped me fuck up hers, so go ahead and get that done. You know my card numbers, most of all, you know her.” I opened the car door, about to get out before she grabbed my wrist.
“How do you know she’s gonna say yes?”
I turned my face up at that question. “’Cause she ain’t got no fucking choice.”
“This is unrealistic as fuck.”
I shrugged. “It doesn’t need to be realistic. You got it or do I gotta put in a ca—”
“Nope, I got it. Do you even have a ring?”
“Nah, but I’ll handle that.”
She looked puzzled, but she got out of the car and so did I.
When I walked into the house, Killah was sitting on the couch staring at his phone which meant Junior was in his bedroom probably on the game.
“I thought for sure I’d be bailing you out.”
I shook my head, putting my keys and wallet on the table near the door. “I thought you would too, but that fat, greasy motherfucker is gonna have to suffer. I wasn’t making it easy for him at no point.”
