Nothing I’d like better than having Honor on the back of my bike, curled around me.
“You set it, and I’ll organise a sitter for the boys,” I said.
Maverick grinned and slapped my shoulder. “Will do, brother. Come on, I’ll head home with you and pick up my nephews, so you can have your Ol’ Lady to yourself.”
“Not my Ol’ Lady yet,” I reminded him. “She may not agree.”
Maverick shakes his head at me. “She will, brother. You’ll see. She’s fucking perfect for you.”
He is right. She was.
But it would still be her decision.

Maverick and I walked towards our houses. Maverick’s was the furthest away, the original ranch house his family had lived in for generations.
Roman and Axle had houses right next to each other, separated by only a few metres. Mine was on the other side of the road from them, about two hundred metres up, and closer to Maverick’s. There were flags marking out plots for brothers who wanted to build homes.
I’d overheard Angel tell Siera that it was like the beginning of a biker suburbia.
She wasn’t wrong. So far, none had taken up the offer, but I had a feeling that if more brothers found Ol’ Ladies, that would change.
We heard the laughter before we saw them.
My boys were giggling hysterically, then Honor joined in, her voice carrying across the property.
“Catch them, Mason. Hurry, Reed, before they pop!”
More laughter followed, before she praised them.
“Good job! Are you ready?”
The boys shouted something unintelligible back at her. I’m not sure what the fuck they were doing because the houses are hidden behind the bend, but we are about to find out.
Whatever it is, I know the boys are happy, and that makes my heart ease.
We rounded the bend, and my steps slowed until they stopped completely. Maverick stopped beside me.
Honor had the boys bundled up against the cold, and she was running around with a huge wand that sent massive bubbles trailing through the air. The boys were beside themselves, trying to catch them.
Along with the ones Honor was making, smaller bubbles floated across the yard from some sort of machine set-up on the porch.
The three of them were cackling their heads off, chasing bubbles, and tearing around the front yard completely oblivious to the audience they had.
Although, knowing Honor, she wouldn’t care.
When she was with Mason and Reed, her focus was solely on them.
I couldn’t remember the last time I’d seen them this carefree.
Or this loud. My throat tightens with emotion as I watch them play.
“Don’t fuck this up, Luca,” Maverick says quietly, his gaze fixed on Honor and his nephews.
Nephews not by blood, but he’d claimed them as family the moment they’d been dropped off at the clubhouse, and that hadn’t changed. I’d also made him their guardian should anything happen to me.
“I’m going to do my best not to Travis,” I reassure him. “She’s not what I expected. Honestly, I had no intention of ever having a woman in our lives; especially not while the boys were so young. I didn’t think I would ever trust one with the boys, like I do her.”
