“Jack.”
Even to his own ears, Benny could hear his voice crack on the one syllable. He went to push Jack’s hands away, but the other man was faster.
Like he’d grabbed Benny’s ankle earlier, Jack grabbed and held his wrist. He laid Benny’s hand down on his stomach.
“The internet isn’t in here, Benny. It’s just us.”
Benny definitely wasn’t imaging the voice change.
Not paired with the hooded look Jack gave him next.
And not with Jack’s hand pressing back into Benny’s lower stomach…and moving beneath the band of his underwear.
Benny resisted on reflex. Jack moved his body closer and angled for a better position.
Before he could panic or worry or turn even more red, Jack Knox held his hand fully around Benny.
“If I was still madly in love with someone else, I don’t think I’d do this.”
“Jack—”
The bartender stroked once. It was all that was needed to rip a tiny moan from his lips. He felt himself harden further.
Jack’s eyebrow rose.
He pulled his hand back out of Benny’s shorts.
Panic was hot on its heels.
Benny opened his mouth—to say what, he wasn’t sure—but Jack, yet again, made another surprising move.
He pushed off of the bed and stood tall.
Then…
Then he came right back.
Benny could only watch in heated confusion as Jack got back on the bed and straddled him.
“I also definitely don’t think I’d do this if I was stuck on someone else.”
Jack threw his shirt off and moved his hips so Benny could feel that the bartender wasn’t joking around.
Jack smirked.
Then he leaned over.
Benny felt his lips first, his hard-on second, and his hand deliciously third.
* * *
One minute he had been wearing a shirt, sitting on his couch in his apartment, and listening to Dixon blabber on about the high price of tampons.
The next?
Jack had his hard dick out, rubbing against Benny’s also very hard dick, their tongues tangling together, and both covered in organic sunburn relief salve.
Benny moaned against his lips.
