“Hola mami,” he smiled and walked around me. When he got to my back side he started yelling “Ai Yai Yaaaiiiiii! Too much ass for you Malice.” He slapped me on the top of my ass and hugged me from the back. “So pretty, so gangster looking. You his little chulo, chica?” He popped his lips and threw his arm around me. We started walking side by side. Usually, I would’ve pushed his ass off of me, but he smelled like my favorite perfume which was Chloe.
“Inferno, Roberto, don’t let me remind you what to call me again. This is a business partner of mine.” Inferno winked at me as I rolled my eyes hard at him. Still choosing not to speak. I was stuck on the fact that his name was Malice.
“Don’t let my big brother scare you, Chica. He’s so uptight, such a bully.” He fake pouted. Inferno climbed in the front seat and me and Roberto got in the back.
“Straight to the compound.” He told the driver with no other pleasantries. We rolled listening to Roberto go on and on about how he didn’t like the nail techs out in Mexico. He lived in Miami and was visiting out here for a couple of months to meet his new siblings. He asked Inferno a couple questions and most questions he asked was ignored. I made small talk with him; I liked his outgoing personality. He seemed like a sweetheart, besides him being over the top dramatic, I enjoyed his conversation.
We traveled through deep canyons until we entered a rainforest, following the trail the ground underneath us seemed very rocky. My Abuela stayed more on the city side. I had no plans of telling them that I knew all about Mexico. Hell, it was apart of me and soon as I decided to agree with my Abuela, I too would be a powerful woman. Whenever Inferno decided to get off his power trip and let me free, I hope that was in a day or two, I would call my Abuela and meet with her since I was already out here.
Taking my phone out, I turned the camera facing me and took in my face. I was bare of any makeup. I felt naked, like the real me was exposed. I eyed the two tear drops that I constantly covered in remembrance of my parents. That was my greatest weak spot. The broken heart that sat on my opposite cheek was the definition of how I felt every day. I forced myself to be strong at a young age because I didn’t have a choice. I didn’t pick this life; it chose me and I lived up to the shit with no regrets.
“Chica we’re here.” Roberto smiled and hopped out the car to jog around to my side. He opened the door and bowed a little. “I’m still some what of a gentleman, you see? That asshole is already up the heel ready to go find our Papa.” I couldn’t hold back the giggle that left my mouth. Roberto was truly a character. I looked up the long-slanted pathway and saw that Inferno was already at a great distance.
“You and your brother close?” I decided not to be the reserved person that I’m used of being. I was used of keeping a blank expression on my face, I never really talked much around my gang because I really didn’t have too much to say. If it wasn’t about business are making money, I didn’t concern myself with it. The only person that was able to get me opened and talking, even joking sometimes was my spoiled baby sister. Roberto just had a peaceful and good aura about himself. It seemed like we clicked the moment I stepped off of Inferno’s private jet. You all that reading this book probably wondering how am I so fucking calm. How did I get kidnapped, kept in a chamber that was used to start fires with fake or real skeletons for days straight so calm? How can I just adapt to this fine ass stranger that dragged me to Mexico against my consent.
Survival and learning how to adapt to any situation without panicking is all I can tell you. When you have been forced to adapt and play things out until it reveal itself so many times in life you will understand why I was so calm. My intuition was telling me that this was the start of another crazy chapter in my life that I would have to adapt to. I was far from dumb, Inferno wasn’t going anywhere no time soon, I envisioned him becoming a thorn in my side. We had some shit in common without him having to confess it to me. Without me knowing much about him, I knew that we both held dark and disturbing thoughts.
“I want to have a better relationship with my Hermano.” (Brother) his beautiful green eyes shined with sadness. “We have a lot of siblings, and they don’t treat him nice, but I try to. Malice is not easy to break through to, but I’ll never give up. I love him and that’s why I’m here.” He perked up and smiled. He grabbed my hand; I relaxed when I felt how soft his hands felt enclosed with mine as we walked up the path way. Roberto talked and talked about how big his father’s compound was, and he promised to give me a tour later on in the night. I just nodded my head and smiled at everything he said, Roberto was green and didn’t know much. I could tell, I also didn’t expect him to realize that he was walking hand in hand with a certified shooter.
I took in the Spanish massive home from the foyer. The house was indeed big enough to get lost in something similar to my Abuela’s house. Roberto left me in the front room to go find Inferno. I contemplated if it was too soon to text my Abeula and give her my location. If this was Inferno’s father home, then his dad was someone very important. I noted everything from the time I arrived on the property. Security was swarming everywhere I didn’t need assistance with putting pieces to the puzzle. This nigga father was apart of the cartel.
If it wasn’t the cartel, then what else could his father be apart of to have so much fucking security. His front room looked like it was worth my whole fortune.
“You too far in your mind.” Inferno had a cigar between his thick lips. His deep baritone voice did something to me every time he spoke. The outfit that I thought was comical on him was replaced with a custom-made fitting suit. Although his eyes were the most beautiful thing, I ever saw they didn’t even twinkle nor look welcoming. His once wild beard was now tamed and neatly trimmed forming into a nice goat tee. Inferno was the type of man that looked good with or without hair. Right now, he tapered fade and short dry curls made him look sexy as hell. I thought my heart skipped a beat, but I shrugged it off. It had to be that stupid ass tea he let me drink the night before.
For the first time since I was that thirteen-year-old determined kid, I felt nervous and exposed to him. He didn’t get the make up wearing, scar covering Queen. Right now, he was looking at the raw Sovereign. I was so used of people looking at me with nothing but respect and sometimes fear. Inferno stared at me and saw me for what I truly was. I couldn’t even contain my small chuckle that escaped my lips. A struggling Queenpin is what he called me. When I really thought about it, and all the money I wasted on just revenge for Melvin, only to have it all backfire back in my face. It was true, I was indeed struggling, I made struggling look beautiful. I saved several lives and put food on a lot of men and women tables. Yet, I hadn’t secured another million.
I fell off and almost hit rock bottom after Melvin. I still didn’t even know how he was able to get away again and with a lot of my money and the daughter that I claimed as mine. It’s like he put a curse on me, and I was struggling to get back to where I wanted to be. Staring at Inferno and feeling that fuzzy feeling when I didn’t even know shit about this nigga had me vexed and upset with myself.
I looked at him as if I was trying to figure it all out. He stared back with absolutely no expression left on his face for me to read his mind on what he too was thinking. When he opened his mouth to speak, that’s when it was confirmed that we both were thinking of two different things.
“Don’t get caught up in your thoughts about me. If you wondering if your pussy good, the answer is yes. I personally like to feel it in my bones when I’m nutting. I can’t get that from a woman that runs like a track star from the dick.” He winked to fuck with me more. I didn’t offer him an expression or words. I didn’t need him to tell me if my pussy was good or not. I knew it to be a fact. Truth was, Inferno probably snatched his massive dick out of me the moment he discovered just how good my pussy truly was. It was lethal and dangerous for his well-being. I was indeed a man eater; I’d capture his body first and then his soul. Love wasn’t for me, and it would never be for me. If he thought for one second, he had me spent and lost in my thoughts about him catching me off guard and sticking that dick where it didn’t belong in the first place, then that was on him. I could always flip the script but for now I was playing things his way.
“I don’t have time to show you to your room. As you know, you’re in my neck of the woods so running won’t be smart.” That was a clear threat that had me laughing. His left thick brow rose, and I kept the shit eating grin plastered on my face. If only he knew that Mexico was my neck of the woods as well.
“You have an enchanting smile, it’s viscous, laced with ill intent. Treacherous Queen you are. I love a fucking challenge.” He walked close to me, so close my breathing switched gears on me and I hated that too. He was a sight for sore eyes, and he knew it. Everything on him was picture fucking perfect. His thick ass eyebrows, structured nose, and defined jawline. The masculinity in him was too powerful to inhale, even the masculine smell of him mixed with fire had my clit thumping hard. I was so caught up staring at him that I didn’t realize that my hard nipples were up against his hard body. He looked down at me like a giant and smiled.
“I bet that pussy ready to bite a nigga.” He winked as I stumbled back. I hated him and all this fucking winking of the eye shit he did. “Come, it’s time for you to meet the man of the house.” He turned and walked with his hands tucked in his suit pants pockets. The gesture alone showed that he didn’t see me as a threat walking behind him.
The four-inch heels click clacked against the marble floors. We turned corners and walked down long hallways. This place was beautiful and very elegant looking. I didn’t have time to marvel at all the unique paintings and family photos. What I did gather was that whoever was Inferno’s dad, had a whole colony of kids. We made it to a set of double doors, the guards locked eyes with Inferno first and terror flashed in both of their eyes as they moved quick to open up the doors.
We entered his father’s office and it seemed very rude of Inferno to impose when it looked like his father was holding a meeting. Champagne flutes sat on his desk; his hair was slicked back with a suit that looked similar to Inferno’s. He never looked up, his eyes was locked in on the guest that sat in the chair with one big guard standing directly behind whoever occupied the seat.
When his father looked up, his eyes locked with Inferno and a big smile took over his face.
“Mi Hijo.” (My son) Inferno nodded as his father’s eyes landed on me and stayed put.
“Martinez? Is this tu Nieta?” My body went still as I waited to hear the voice.
“I told you, my men are looking for her but she will be on board.” My Abuela voice almost startled me. This couldn’t be a coincidence.
“From di pictures… it’s her, turn around.” I turned to walk out, reaching for the handle and turned it to realize that it was locked.
“What’s going on dad?” Inferno voice boomed as panic started taking over me. No, the world couldn’t be this fucking small.
“Nieta? What a pleasant surprise. Come sit down.” She pointed to the seat next to her as I tried my hardest to sort through my thoughts.
“Why is she with you Malice?” His father voice held skepticism. I could also feel my Abuela’s eyes fixed on me.
