“I need to cum.”
Prince Bradwell’s moan reverberated down my back and gathered in my folds. The pleasure spiked, but it wasn’t enough to push me over the edge.
“Alright,” he said between panting breaths. “We’ll do this together.”
A warm breeze swirled through the four-poster bed. It curled around my thighs, pushing them further apart and exposing more of my sex to his touch.
Now his thrusts sent lightning bolts of ecstasy racing down my thighs. He quickened his thrusts, swelling the bank of pleasure building up around my core.
“Brad,” I said, my voice breathy. “Don’t stop.”
“Never,” he growled. Between each snap of his hips, he said, “This. Is. The. Most. Pleasurable—”
“Ah!” With that last thrust, something exploded deep inside my core, letting out all the pent-up pressure. Spasm after tight spasm of my core muscles pumped pleasure across my body, setting my nerve endings on fire.
With a roar, Prince Bradwell spurred jets of warm semen on my belly, rolling his hips through an even more prolonged climax than the last time.
As my orgasm softened into less violent undulations, Prince Bradwell rolled off my back and collapsed onto the mattress. He brought me down to my side and wrapped his larger body around mine.
“Unity,” he rasped in my ear. “Stay with me forever.”
“Hmmm… “ My eyelids fluttered closed, and I fell into blissful sleep.

The next morning, a loud bang broke me out of my slumber, making my eyes snap open. Instead of the four-poster bed and the mattress made of blossoms, I lay naked on a stone floor of what appeared to be a dungeon.
Stone walls curved into a low, domed ceiling with an arch that opened into a darkened hallway. It was smaller than the back room of our old house, but where that was cozy, this was cold and unwelcoming. I stared through the metal bars that I guessed were made of iron, trying to see if someone was lurking in the shadows.
“Sleeping beauty’s finally awake, then?” sneered a cold voice.
Moments later, a king’s guardian stepped into view behind the bars of my cell. I pulled knees up to my chest to hide my nudity, but he swept his gaze down my body and curled his lip, as though I was the most repulsive creature on the Isle of Fae.
“Humans performing dark magic to become like us? That’s worth a bloody execution.”
Cold terror swept across my skin, making it tighten. My wings wrapped around my knees, providing measly comfort. “The magic of the enchantment preventing faeries from victimizing humans won’t let you—”
“That’s the beauty of your crimes. We can punish our own kind as much as we please without the outsiders interfering.”
I gulped. “Where’s Prince Bradwell?”
“Having breakfast with Her Majesty and getting a pat on the back for a job well done.” The guardsman hooked his thumbs beneath his lapels and rocked back and forth on his heels. “He’s the one who brought you here for punishment and has been playing spy all along.”
The words hit me like a punch to the gut, and all the air left my lungs in a noisy gasp. Shuffling into the furthest corner of my cell, I shook my head. It was partially in denial and partly to let tendrils of hair fall into my face to hide the oncoming tears.
Why did he go to such lengths to have me captured? He could have flown me straight to the palace and thrown me at Queen Titania’s feet. It made no sense to carry out such a romantic sham just for a few kisses and a bit of frottage.
I glared up at the guard. What if someone had captured us both, and he was just saying that to hurt me?
“Crying?” The guard’s voice dripped with mock-sympathy.
“That’s enough,” said a female voice.
“Your Majesty!” The guard dropped to his knees and placed his head on the ground.
I held my breath as her footsteps echoed through the hall. Theories whizzed through my mind. Last night, one of her spies had flown alongside us. What if the albatross had departed back to the queen, so she could have troops grab us in the middle of the night? She had arrested Princes Caulden and Rory for not revealing my location. It made sense that she would also punish Prince Bradwell for his deception.
Queen Titania stepped into view, clad in a slinky, long dress the color of lightning. In the dungeon’s flickering candlelight, her hair looked brilliant white. It curled around her cruel face in a tight chignon, which sharpened her silver eyes with malevolence.
