“Wait,” Grayson says. “We’re not sleeping together?”
“I’m with Grayson. It’s cold and rainy outside, and the perfect night for snuggling,” Roman adds.
I absolutely adore these men, but one touch from them, and I’m putty in their hands. I barely slept last night. “How about tomorrow? Tonight, I’m almost dead on my feet.”
“Come on, don’t push her,” Wolf, of all people, says. “Give her the night off. We’ll take the guest rooms.”
I narrow my gaze at him. What has he done to the real Wolf?
He stares at me, blows me a kiss, and pats Grayson on the shoulder. “Let’s head to bed.” And just like that, we’re switching off the lights and the TV and going to bed.
Upstairs, we split up, and I call out, “Good night.”
They send me kisses, which I pretend to catch. Then I hurry into the private wing, and because my bladder is about to burst, I rush right toward my bathroom, not bothering to turn on the lights.
When I’m done, I change into my sleep shorts and tank top and leave my bedroom to grab a bottle of water from the bar fridge in the private quarters’ living room. Once there, I notice I’ve left the door to the wing open, so I push it shut and saunter down the dark hallway to my room.
Half a dozen steps later, a small creak sounds behind me, soft enough to ignore. Except, my chest tightens, and I glance back. The hallway is empty, mostly dark. Nothing there.
Yet the hairs on my arms rise, and that earlier unease trickles through me. So I make a dash for my bedroom, heart thundering, bare feet on the floorboards.
Just then, a large hand closes over my mouth so fast I stumble over my feet and crash into someone solid behind me.
A scream rips toward my throat, but it flatlines just as quickly. I thrash to get away when a hot breath exhales across the shell of my ear.
“Shh,” he breathes.

Someone’s attacking me!
I claw at the huge hand across my mouth, already trying to twist around and break free, all while my heart thunders in my chest.
“Do you like it rough, songbird?” he whispers, and I pause, my head still trying to catch up.
Fuck! Are you kidding me? “Wolf? You bastard!” I mumble beneath his hand.
He releases me, chuckling, and I whip around to face him, where he’s standing in the dark, looking crazy in his robe. Silver moonlight from my bedroom lights up his face and those steel-gray eyes.
My heart is still trying to break through my rib cage, yet I’ve never been more relieved in my life to discover it’s him and not some stalker, while at the same time considering committing murder.
“What’s wrong with you?” I demand. “You scared me half to death.”
His gaze darkens, the corners of his mouth lifting. “I wouldn’t let that happen to you.” Then he steps closer, and instinctually, I retreat. But he’s right there, closing the distance fast.
Despite the fear still in my veins, I refuse to admit out loud that some primal part of me is thrilled by his stunt. Something is wrong with me, but then again, I’m not exactly shocked that it turned out to be Wolf. Of all three Alphas, he’s the wildest one to sneak up on me in the dark.
“You might have a problem,” I murmur, struggling to keep the smile off my face as I stare at him, all sexy in a robe that’s clearly too small for him.
“Never said I was a saint,” he adds and comes for me, arms around my waist. I’m off my feet in seconds. He flings me over his shoulder, and my breath rushes out of me.
“Wolf!” I should be screaming, but somehow I end up laughing as he flings an arm across the back of my thighs and marches us into my bedroom. He kicks the door shut, locks it, then tosses me onto my bed. I crash onto the mattress, bouncing a couple of times before I finally come to a stop. By the time I’ve caught my breath, he’s crawling onto the bed, over the top of me, on his hands and knees. He’s huge, and his scent invades every inch of me, lassoing me to him, calling to my primal instincts. And I should hate how easily he influences me, but I can’t deny that I’m enjoying this too much.
He’s staring at me, a low growl rolling in his throat, and I’m squeezing my thighs together with pleasure. God, I’m dying to touch him, while resisting him with every fiber of my being.
“Tell me to leave your room, and I’ll go,” he commands with a deep, rough voice.
