Soon, the guys make plans to get rid of all the bodies and Blaze’s car, and I find my eyes drifting shut as I snuggle against Bain.
The next time I open my eyes, I find myself lying in bed, the scent of all my mates surrounding me.
As I snuggle into Maddox’s chest, it suddenly hits me. There’s nobody left to come after me. I’m finally free from all my monsters.
Thanks to my men, my mates, I no longer have to look over my shoulder. Thanks to them, I can be myself and live the life I’ve always wanted.
One filled with happiness and love.
And hopefully…
Lots and lots of sex.
Epilogue
Cherry
“This is where we’re staying for the week?” I ask as I stare up at the beautiful pink home.
The house rises from the dunes on tall stilts, its soft, pink siding wrapped in white railings and wide porches that catch the ocean breeze. Wide stairs lead to the front porch, and then higher to the second level, where another deck stretches across the entire front of the house. There are chairs up there, and I can already picture us sprawled out in them, watching the sunset.
Gage wraps his arms around me from behind, his mouth beside my ear as he whispers, “Happy Birthday, darling.” He kisses my cheek and lets go of me as Chase grabs my hand and leads me forward.
Of course, Bain and Maddox have already gone inside to make sure it’s safe, a habit I don’t think they will ever give up. As we walk up the front steps, the two of them appear at the door in front of me.
“All clear,” Bain says as the two of them step aside, and Chase pulls me in front of him, nudging me forward so I step inside first.
When they told me we were going on vacation to the coast for my birthday, since I’d never seen the ocean before, I was so excited, but somehow I didn't realize we’d be staying right beside the ocean. Because that’s exactly where we are.
I step inside, ignoring everything about the home except the floor-to-ceiling windows on the other side, giving me the most amazing view. “Is that the ocean?” I ask as I move toward it, even though I know it must be. “It’s so big.”
Of course, I’ve seen it in movies and on TV, but in person, it looks so… endless.
Hunter slides open the patio door I’m apparently standing in front of, and I step out onto the back porch, which is raised one level off the ground.
I place my hands on the railing and take everything in: the beach chairs below, the sandy beach in front of me, and the sun-kissed blue ocean. I can smell the salt and sand from here. It’s surprisingly calming.
I love Starfall Haven and living so close to the woods, but this is a perfect place for vacation.
Bain steps up behind me, placing his hands on the railing on either side of mine and leans to one side, kissing the side of my head.
“Are you happy?”
I spin around to face him so he can see the huge smile on my face as I tell him, “I love it. It’s perfect!”
“You haven’t even seen inside yet,” Hunter says with a chuckle. I glance around, seeing all of my guys watching me, instead of the incredible view, and suddenly, it’s no longer the ocean that has my attention.
“Will you show me the bedroom?” I ask, my gaze lifting to Bain’s. His blue eyes turn molten right before he scoops me up. I squeal, my hands flying around his neck as he carries me back inside and up a set of stairs.
It’s hard not to notice the view is even more amazing from up here. More floor-to-ceiling windows line the back wall, giving us an unobscured view of the ocean. The bed is situated in the middle of the room, facing them, but that’s not where Bain puts me down.
He carries me over to the windows and lowers me to my feet, so I’m facing them.
“Bain I—”
“Hands on the window,” he demands. My breath catches in my throat as my hands fly up to press against the glass.
I feel his foot tapping the inside of mine as he tells me, “Spread your legs.” I quickly do as he asks, unsure what’s going on but excited nonetheless.
