Jamie: Morning Skate. Drills and Conditioning. I really believe Coach Lennox is trying to kill us.

Blue: (laughing emoji)

Jamie: How’s rehearsals?

Blue: Ugh. . .12-hour table read. The movie is going to be epic though.

Jamie: (sad face emoji) (excitement emoji) Did you eat?

Blue: Of course. (side-eye emoji)

Jamie: Show me.

Blue: (Sends picture of an empty plate) Happy?

Jamie: Good boy.

Blue: (winky face emoji) Tease.

Jamie: I wish. I need to shower, eat and sleep.

Blue: Get some sleep, baby.

Jamie: Miss you.

(Six Weeks Later)

The second Cyaire’s face appears on my screen, I know I’ve made a mistake answering this call in the locker room. The familiar warmth that spreads through my chest at seeing him is immediately overshadowed by the realization that I’m about to lose any semblance of privacy I thought I had left.

“Oh damn! Is that your boy?” Devan’s voice booms across the entire locker room, drawing every set of eyes in our direction like a magnet.
