“Oh, you mean the man out in the SUV? Yeah, they didn’t even care when we pulled up on the other side of the property like we were doing a delivery for your business.”

“Or maybe this whole set up is a trap and they are going to come and kill your crazy abusive ass Travis.” Abby says as he flings her towards the counter.

“You know, I never really liked that mouth of yours Abby. I might have to shut it for you. I mean I can think of a hundred different things you could do with that mouth that would make everything better or even you know I could fucking shut you up permanently.”

“NO! Travis just stop . What do you want? You’ve got us here, you brought crazy one and crazy two. So obviously you need something.” I say to him trying to defuse the situation. I peek over at Brynley and she has her phone in her lap and from what I can see of the screen she’s on a call. Thank fuck.

Apparently though, I am not as sly as I thought I was about it and Travis notices where I am looking.

“Sin, darlin’ why don’t you go grab Brynley over there and take her phone please.”

Brynley gets up before Sin can come grab her and starts backing up. Sin then aims her gun at Bryn.

“Give me the phone you dumbass. No one is going to get here in time. You know what Travis forgot to mention was that while we were ‘delivering’ your fucking feed. We did notice the security that you had on you. We took out the two prospects you had watching you and the two men in the SUV. Like Travis said, it was easy. Travis was dressed as a prospect. We came with the food truck. We looked like we were there for a delivery. Ash and I bent down inside the truck to talk to the prospects as Travis went and took care of the men in the SUV. Shot one in the head and the other tried to get out of the car to fire, but ended up being too late. Then Ash and I put a bullet in between those prospects’ eyes before they even could think about helping.” She looks over at me and smiles. “They really weren’t expecting us to have weapons. It is such a shame, those prospects really looked like they could be something some day. But sadly, they had to go. I mean like we said they were not really expecting us. It is really easy when you come in from a different part of your property. It’s a real shame really that you don’t have better security.”

“Thanks for the memo, I’ll make sure to remember that.”

“Oh, baby, didn’t I tell you, you will be giving up this little piece of land here and coming with me. We are going to start our lives over away from all this bullshit.” Travis says and before I can tell him he’s crazy a gunshot goes off and my eyes fly to where Sin and Brynley were having a faceoff.

“Brynley!” Abby yells as we watch Brynley fall to the ground.

“Well, now I can get her phone.” Sin says as she smirks and walks over towards where Brynley is laying still clutching her phone. “You probably should give that to me, baby girl, before I put the next bullet in your brain.”

I watch in horror as she reaches down and rips the phone from Brynley’s hand and looks at the screen before chuckling and putting it up to her ear.

“Oh, I’m so surprised she has you on the phone. I thought that after your bitch of a wife died, you were incapable of getting it up. I hope you weren’t attached to this one too.”

Then she hangs up the phone before turning and spitting on Brynley.

“You aren’t good enough for any of the brothers either. It’s like you guys don’t fucking learn. Stop trying to take our men.”

Before anyone can stop her Abby runs over and is on the floor next to Brynley putting pressure on her stomach.

“Bit-” Sin goes to say but Travis stops her.

“Sin, that’s enough. You already killed two men outside and now you shot one of these bitches. I think you need to chill the fuck out. She’s probably going to die no matter what Abby does there. She’s used to working on animals much larger than dear Brynley.” He then turns my way. “You are coming with me. So get your ass out the door. I mean I’m a little sad they ruined the surprise that we killed all the people watching your house. I wanted to give you a little false hope before it was shattered.”

“I’m not going anywhere with you Travis. You know that.”

Before I can say anything else Travis is in my face and backhanding me.

“ROSE!” I hear Sutton yell, but when I look up and my vision clears she is being held back by Ash with a gun pressed up against her head.

“You better do what you are told or I am going to have Ash and Sin here end your friends.” Travis says and he nods towards where Brynley and Abby are on the ground. Sin has her gun pointed at the back of Abby’s head as Abby tries to put pressure on Brynley’s wound. “Now, you’re going to come with me and get in the truck. We are going to drive off this property and go somewhere no one is going to find us. If you want to do this the hard way we can, but you’ll lose three friends and I’ll beat the shit out of you.”

I look at my friends and the situation we are in and I nod my head.

“Okay, I’ll come.”

“Rose, no!” Sutton says.

“Now, Sin and Ash, we are going to go out the door first and get in the truck. You are going to follow us out. Leave the girls where they are. I think they have more than enough to worry about rather than chasing after us.”

Travis comes over and grabs my arm before pulling me out of the house.

“Wait, I need shoes!” I say trying to put off leaving a little bit longer, but I know I need to get them out of the house so they can call an ambulance to get Brynley help.

“No you don’t, I’ll get you anything you need when we get where we are going.”
