But this was an opening I was waiting for. “Actually, that might lead me to something else.”

They look at me expectantly.

“Cami has ideas for the playroom?” Dex asks salaciously.

“No, well, yes.” I’m flustered, so I take a deep breath. “Maybe.”

I look around at all of them.

“So, you know Alexis? The one I’ve been talking with, the one I went and met last night?”

Nods—that’s all I get—nods.

“So, they have a playroom, and they’ve been doing this for longer than us. I’d like to you all to meet her anyway, so I thought maybe we could go see what her playroom is like.”

Micah and Ronan both raise their eyebrows.

“Maybe get some ideas,” I add. “Plus you all could meet them, and at least we’d have someone else living in this crazy world, with a dynamic even remotely like ours to talk to.”

Ronan looks at Griffin and then back to me before replying. “I think meeting them all first would be good before a playroom tour, but I like what you’re thinking.”

I smile at him.

We talk for a little while longer, and then Micah and Dex head off to run some errands. Ronan goes to stand, but Griffin stops him.

“Hey, can the three of us talk for a minute?”

Ronan looks down at me and then sits again. “Sure.”

“Look,” Griffin starts, but then rakes his fingers through his hair and seems to gather his thoughts. “I know I’ve talked to you each individually, but the three of us haven’t really talked about this. But I do think that whenever you two are ready, I’d be ready to try something… intimate with the two of you.”

The smile I give him, he reads immediately.

I know he has wanted this for a while, but Ronan always said Griffin would need to wait until Ronan and I had time together.

So I’m both surprised and not surprised that he is approaching this subject so quickly.

“Let’s give it a few days,” Ronan says with a kind of gentle authority. “Then we can talk about all of it.”

Griffin nods.

Eventually, I let them know I’m going to shower and leave them to talk to each other.

When I get out of the shower, there are texts waiting for me.

Then it was a few minutes later, but still while I was in the shower, that the group chat lit up.
