Letting him see.
All of it.
The tension. The choice.
The fact that I wasn’t stopping.
His jaw tightened, just slightly. His eyes darkened, something possessive flickering there before it disappeared.
He didn’t move, or interrupt, or look away. And suddenly—
This wasn’t something happening to me.
It was something I was choosing.
And for the first time since stepping into this house—
I didn’t care who saw.

HAVEN
Sebastian didn’t slow.
If anything, Ares’s presence dragged something darker out of him. His grip tightened, his fingers digging in just enough to remind me who had me — who was setting the pace, choosing how deep, how hard—
But the room didn’t belong to him anymore.
Not entirely.
Ares stood there, watching like he was cataloging every reaction, every shift in breath and movement and sound. His eyes locked on mine, and a faint smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.
“Tell me something,” Ares said, his voice low and measured. “Do you always make sounds like that?”
I sucked in a breath that broke halfway through, as Sebastian drove into me again. He did it harder. Sharper. Like he had something to prove.
“Careful,” Sebastian murmured, his mouth close to my ear. “You’re going to distract her.”
Ares stepped closer, rolling his shoulders once before lacing his fingers together and cracking his knuckles.
“She doesn’t look distracted.”
A hand came up to my chin.
Light. Intentional.
My eyes were drawn to his, by something I couldn’t name. There was nothing rushed there. But there was something else. Something primal. Raw.
Dangerous.
“Look at you,” he said softly, almost to himself.
Sebastian faltered for half a second — then pushed harder. Answering something that neither of them had said out loud.
My body reacted instantly, pulling them both deeper into the moment as the tension shifted around me.
Not coordinated. Not competitive.
