Lurk scurries away to the other side of the clubhouse without making eye contact with me, even though I’m staring a hole in the bastard. He didn’t really say anything bad; hell, my daughter was a stripper at one point. But he didn’t have to bring that shit up. Especially when I’m already pissed about Blue being here looking so fucking sexy.

“Lurk didn’t mean anything by that. He doesn’t know it’s a sensitive topic for you,” Big Country says in a pitying tone.

I know his big ass is trying to be funny. All the guys were almost as pissed as I was when I found out Erica was stripping her way through college instead of coming to me. She’s an owner of a strip club now, and my baby girl is one hell of a businesswoman, but the shit still pisses me off.

“Shut the fuck up, Country,” I chuckle.

Country slaps me on the back and says, “You know I’m just fucking with you. But I’m sayin’, brother, if you don’t want somebody else to make her an Old Lady. You better make a move. These young bucks are on the hunt.”

“Don’t I fuckin’ know it,” I mumble.

I watch as Blue shakes her sexy ass on the makeshift dance floor with Sassy and Lamb. I don’t know how Ace and Stone do it. I’m possessive about Blue, and she ain’t even mine. I shake my head, smiling at the asinine thought.

“You look way less scary when you smile like that,” the sultry voice comes from beside me.

My smile grows bigger when I see Trixie standing there. She’s pretty, with long light-brown hair, big brown eyes, and pouty lips. Trixie keeps the drama to a minimum, and she’s not looking for anything serious. We’ve had our interactions in the past, and she’s just what I need to get my mind off of Blue.

“With a voice and body like that, I can’t help but smile.” I turn and give her a long up-and-down perusal.

Trixie’s long tan legs look absolutely incredible in the short skirt she’s wearing. She has a short little shirt that her cleavage spills out of, and the reddest lipstick I’ve ever seen her wear. I have to admit she looks fucking hot, but even with a walking good time standing right in front of me, my eyes stray to find the one woman who always has my attention.

“Ehm,” Trixie clears her throat, frowning.

My gaze swings back to her, and I raise an eyebrow. No matter how familiar we might be in the sack, nobody has a claim on me. Trixie is cool and all, but she better watch herself. I don’t like that jealous shit.

“Anyways,” Trixie continues once she has my attention again. “Why don’t we head to your room for a little fun? We always have a good time, and it’s been awhile.”

Trixie runs her hand down my chest before fluttering her big brown eyes at me. In my mind, I’m weighing my pros and cons. If I go with Trixie, I won’t have to see Blue’s tight ass bouncing and dancing. Maybe I can finally get some relief from the constant state of blue balls. But if Blue sees me go off with another woman, especially Trixie, she’ll give me the cold shoulder again.

The last time she did that, it was weeks before she acknowledged my presence. Even though I’m one of the baddest motherfuckers in this clubhouse, my ass was miserable as hell. Only Blue has me by the balls without even trying.

Before I can answer Trixie, a loud, melodious laugh garners my attention. It’s like my eyes are connected to her by an invisible string. They find her without my say so, and when I see her, it’s like a red haze blocks my vision.

“Fuck no!”

CHAPTER 6

MEAN

BISHOP

I faintly hear a feminine voice calling my name as I stormed across the clubhouse. But the only voice I want to ever hear saying, Bishop, is letting a motherfucker grind against her ass.

Both of them must want me to show my ass tonight. Everybody here should know that she is off limits. And Blue has lost her goddamned mind if she thinks I'm going to let that shit fly.

We may have been doing this little dance for a few years now, but she knows better than to test me. The brothers see me as wise and come to me for advice, but there’s a reason that I’m one of the scariest motherfuckers in this place.

“Back up,” I growl at Slam. He’s a brother from our New Mexico chapter.

Slam gets a good look at my face before he slowly removes his hands from Blue’s hips. He backs up and raises his hands in the air like I have a gun pointed in his face. I’m cool with every brother in here, but I won’t hesitate to put a motherfucker down if they try me.

“No disrespect meant, Bishop.” Slam nods, walking away.

“Why would you do that?” Blue asks me calmly.

One of the things I’ve noticed and respect about Blue is that she always keeps her cool. I suppose it is also one of the many reasons that she’s such a great nurse. I’ve seen her assess situations and stay calm many times.

However, the coolness in her tone is pissing me off. I can see the fire in her eyes, and I know she’s pissed as fuck. But she keeps up this cool façade to make me think she doesn’t care. But we both know that’s not true.
