“You’re so tight,” he moaned as he pushed into me slowly and pulled out even slower. I protested each time he pulled out. I wanted him to stay there, buried deep inside me. I realized at that moment, the only thing I was sure of was that Erik gave me pleasure. The sex. The hotness. It was all selfish want being fulfilled. Lust. And at that moment in my life, lust was what I could handle.
I don’t know which one of us came first. But after that romp, we did it again. Moving from the couch to the floor. We were like horny teenagers and finally as night began to fall, we fell breathless onto his large bed.
He curled up around me and stroked my hair.
“You always smell like strawberries to me.”
“Strawberry shampoo,” I replied simply.
“I think of you every time I drink a smoothie.”
I laughed hard. I liked being around Erik. He was so carefree, so easy to be around. While Wyatt had always been really intense and focused, Erik was the opposite. I didn’t understand how I could be so attracted to a man who was the very opposite end of the spectrum to what I was used to. I needed to stop comparing apples to oranges, I thought to myself.
“So are you going to tell me what’s bothering you now or are we going to have sex again until our brains stop functioning?”
“I like that idea,” he said, running his hand up the side of my hip.
I smiled brightly at him and playfully slapped his hand away.
“Come on, tell me what’s going on. We’re friends. Sex buddies. Come on, Erik. You’ve seen all my stuff.”
“You’ve seen all mine too.”
I laughed. “What I’m trying to say is that I think it’ll be okay to be a little vulnerable with each other. I promise you, I won’t make you marry me just because you tell me your problems.”
He looked at me with a frown, “Are you sure?”
I punched him in the arm. “Spill it.”
He paused and his face became serious. “I’m looking for a surrogate.”
“A surrogate?” Of all the things I expected him to say, something about a surrogate was the last thing I had expected. I had thought he was going to say something about work. After all, he was a billionaire. Didn’t they work all the time?
“I’ve always wanted to be a father and have a family. And a surrogate will help make that happen.”
I didn't know much about being a surrogate and I didn’t know what to say.
He got up from the bed and walked away from me. He leaned against his dresser and said with a frustrated sigh, “I can’t believe this.”
“What exactly happened with the surrogate? Did she back out or something?”
He nodded. “I had what I thought was the perfect surrogate and she backed out at the last minute. Something about her ex-husband coming back into the picture and now they want to try to have another kid of their own.”
I didn’t think for a second the same would happen with Wyatt and me.
“You’ll find someone else,” I said, not knowing what else to say.
“It’s a long drawn out process. I’ve been waiting 5 months for the agency to place me with someone...and now this! I’m pissed.”
“Maybe you can expand your search...try another agency.”
“Can’t. I signed a contract with this one.”
“A contract? Surrogacy is a serious business.”
“You have no idea.”
“So what made you decide to get a surrogate?”
