Cat
Precious Love by James Morrison
“Don’t,” I say, placing a hand on Jay’s forearm as he reaches for the light switch. It takes me a moment for my eyes to adjust to the moonlit space, but it’s clear we’re in a suite. Or maybe something even larger. There’s a couch and a living area. Likely a big-screen television and a full bar hidden in the shadows. But none of it interests me. Not when there’s a bed and privacy. And Jay.
“I want to see you,” he rasps as he tugs at his tie. “I can’t see you in the dark, Kitten. I can’t watch the way your lips pout when I drive my cock inside you for the first time. Or the way your eyes light up when I shove it down your throat.”
I whimper, desire sparking in my core, my need for him animalistic.
“But if you want darkness, I’ll give it to you.” He tugs at my lip and drags his teeth along it. “Because you’re all the light I need.”
His mouth crashing against mine in a frenzy, he pushes me against the wall, his hands roaming my body. Studying every inch like the contact is brand new. Like he’s never touched me before and he’s memorizing the way I feel beneath his fingers.
“I need three minutes,” he says into my mouth.
I laugh. “Only three? Geez, I thought you’d last a little longer than that.”
He runs his hands down my hips and squeezes my ass roughly. “Smart-ass. I need three minutes to get things set up. We’re a little early, so the staff hasn’t been up to do it for me like I planned.”
An unbidden smile breaks out on my face. “Go on.” I tilt my head and survey him. “I won’t turn into a pumpkin on you.”
He laughs as he presses a kiss to my cheek. “Fuck, I love you.”
When his back is turned, I silently scream into my hands. He loves me. Jonathan Hanson loves me.
And we’re finally going to have sex.
I rush into the bathroom, relieved to have a few minutes to wrap my head around his admission and to try to keep myself cool, calm, and collected.
Beneath my dress is a navy blue mesh corset Sophie helped me pick out on Newbury Street. Jay is going to lose his fucking mind when I walk out of the bathroom in heels, with the mask back in place, and my breasts spilling out of this corset.
I fix my hair, gargle with the travel-sized mouthwash I find on the counter and take a deep breath.
Jay isn’t in the living room when I make my way back out there, so I head straight to the bedroom. As I push open the door, I’m met with the most beautiful sight. Candles glow on both bedside tables and the bureau. And there are more vases of red roses scattered around the room.
His voice startles me. “You’re beautiful,” he rasps, like the words are hard to get out.
I turn to him and smile softly. He’s still in his pants and button-down, but it’s undone at the top. His jacket is gone, and his tie is missing.
“I love when you say that,” I admit.
He stalks toward me until he’s clasping my hips and his mouth is brushing against mine. “Say what?”
“You don’t say I look beautiful; you say I am beautiful. There’s a difference.”
He nods. “I’m aware. And you are.” He presses his lips to mine, bringing one hand to my cheek while his other holds me steady. “I could get lost staring at you, Kitten. I love all of your looks. The suits and dresses you wear to work, the fucking skirt you wore to the club with the suspenders, tonight’s dress, this—” he pauses and gulps as he angles back and takes in the corset—“fucking get-up.” Blue flames flashing in his eyes, he brings his focus back to my face. “But at all times, you’re beautiful. The most beautiful woman in the room, if you ask me.”
“You’re the only one I care to ask so…” I shrug.
His eyes soften. “Good.” He presses another kiss to my lips. “Only you, Kitten,” he reminds me of our promise.
“Only you,” I whisper back. The candles flicker around the room, and heat crackles between us. “I’m nervous,” I murmur, unable to hide a single thought from him.
Softly, he brushes a thumb against my lip. “Don’t be. We’ll go slow.”
The tension in my body wanes with his every word as lust coils tightly in my core. I blow out a breath and then bite at his lip.
He smiles as he pulls back. “Let me really see you, sweetheart.”
