“It’s Spiral,” the clown says promptly.
Micha rolls his eyes. “Same difference.”
“What isss your problem, Micha?”
His eyes widen as he stares down at Karma. “You’re kidding, right? After everything, you’re asking me why I don’t like the guy? Did he give you his magical dicks in that forest or something?”
“He was honest to me.”
“Honest? Honest? You think that freak has the capability to be honest, Karma? He’s lying to get you to trust him. He still wants to kill you and the rest of us. Surely you’re not that dick drunk?”
“Micha…” I warn, because his anger is overstepping into dangerous territories, and he scoffs again.
“Don’t you start. You know I’m right.”
“Just calm down,” Arlo whispers, moving around Karma to put a soft hand on his stepbrother’s arm. “You’re being mean to Karma.”
She’s expressionless despite her permanent smile, and she’s staring at Micha like she’s not quite sure how to comprehend what he’s saying. She looks almost hurt.
“I’m not going to kill any of you,” Spiral sighs, and something in his tone sounds convincing.
Micha steps into Spiral’s space, but the clown doesn’t back away. “You wanted to kill Karma before. You said so yourself. What’s changed, mutt?”
“You wouldn’t understand. She makes the pain go away. That’s all I need.”
“Micha, come on. We can sort this. Step away,” Arlo borderline begs. Micha steps back, but he doesn’t look any closer to calming down.
“I can’t believe this. All of a sudden you three are fine with the fucker? After he drugged Karma and made her feel pain?”
“I didn’t know it would have that effect,” he interjects.
“Still did it. And now I’m supposed to trust you? No. Not a chance in hell. Fuck this.” He shakes his head and walks off.
“Micha?” Arlo calls out. He steps to walk after him but thinks better of it and remains by Karma’s side. We all watch as Micha storms out of the tent, and a wave of unease washes over me. I don’t like our little pack fighting or splitting up, but if Karma says she wants Spiral around, there isn’t much we can do to argue with her.
“I’ll sort this,” Spiral says suddenly, running off after him.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea!” Arlo shouts, but Spiral is already gone. “They might kill each other.”
“Let them.” I wave them away and drag Karma into my arms, uncaring that her mouth is still smothered in blood. I kiss her harshly and span my hands around her waist. “Did he fuck you, darling?”
She grins wickedly and nods with excitement. “On lots of dead bodiesss.”
“I bet you liked that, you little freak.” I reach over to Arlo—who’s still staring at the exit of the tent with a pained, panicked expression—and pull him closer. “Stop worrying about them. They’ll hash it out. As for us…” Arlo’s lips part as I grab a fistful of his curly hair and pull. “I have different plans for you two.”
“Oh, yeah?” Karma grabs my tentacle, and it’s now I remember we’re all still naked. The suckers move against her skin whilst it wraps around her hand.
Arlo’s cock grows hard against his leg as I tug on his hair, and I laugh.
“Look at you. So desperate.” I lean in and pull his bottom lip between my teeth, clamping down and letting it out with a pop. “What do you think, Karma? Do you think Arlo deserves to come?”
Her evil eyes glint with mischief as she shakes her head. “Make him watch you breed me.”
A whimper breaks free of Arlo’s throat, and my smile grows. “You heard our lady. On your knees, Blondie.” I don’t give him an option, shoving him to kneel, and his hard cock rests upwards against his stomach, smearing precum across his skin. “Already so hard and aching. For what? You don’t get anything.”
“Please,” he groans. He leans on his hands and digs his nails into the ground.
“Sweet boy.” Karma fake pouts, and I don’t miss how her mocking tone makes Arlo bite his lip.
