“You’re lying,” I argue.

It doesn’t take much more for him to admit it. He sighs, avoiding eye contact again.

“I just— I don’t know why I thought you would do it with me first. I’m being selfish. You can sleep with whoever you want, Karma.”

I let my fingers twist around his and stare deeply into his eyes until he’s forced to reciprocate, blinking quickly to avoid the glare of the bright shine.

“Does it bother you that I sssleep with other people?”

He chews his lip as he thinks over his answer. “I don’t know. I like you and Micha. I want you to like each other too. But I don’t know Soren. I guess I didn’t expect you guys to actually have sex.”

“You’re the first cock I sssucked,” I whisper, inching closer to his face. “You’re the reason I’m so desperate for more.”

His lips tip up in a grin. “I guess I’ll take that as a compliment.”

“Would you like to be my firssst kiss?”

Arlo’s eyes widen and light up. “Yes.”

My smile widens as he leans forward, eyes fluttering shut, and I mimic his actions, unsure of what I’m doing. His soft lips press against mine, tentative and unmoving at first. When I push into him, his lips start to shift, controlling the kiss. I follow his lead, moving quicker, my tongue snaking out to slip into his mouth. He groans when it wraps around his and tugs, and his hands find their way down my back to grab my ass.

When he pulls away, panting, he presses his forehead to mine. “The best damn kiss I’ve ever had.”

“Me too.” Because it’s the only one I’ve ever had, but that’s beside the point.

“Can I ask you how it went with Soren? Was it good?”

“It was amazing.”

He huffs out a laugh. “Well, I should be happy about that. I’d want your first time to be amazing. What did you mean when you said he had to push it out of your stomach?”

“He filled me with so much cum my stomach ssswelled,” I explain, and Arlo’s eyes widen again. He looks borderline scared.

“Fucking hell. I didn’t realise that was possible.”

“You can watch next time. All my boyfriendsss will get along.”

“Boyfriends, huh?” He smirks. “Are there any more secret men hiding around I should know about? I won’t be mad, but I would like to be aware.”

I nearly say no. He knows about Soren and Micha—even if Micha doesn’t consider himself one of my boyfriends, but I do, because I can do what I want—but he doesn’t know about my thoughts of Spiral. However, I have no reason to lie to Arlo.

“I hate Ssspiral,” I growl. “But I think about him sssometimes.”

“That’s understandable, Karma. You two work close together, and hate usually burns into something more. But he’s dangerous.”

“Anyway,” I say quickly, not wanting to speak about him. “Where isss Micha?”

“Asleep. He’s been worrying about me and the cut on my head non-stop, but he eventually went to bed. I knew he wouldn’t want me coming here with Spiral around, but I had to see you. It feels like I’ll die when I’m not around you. Does that make me crazy?”

“That’s how I feel sometimesss.”

He grins and presses another kiss to my mouth. “What are you doing out so late? Are you hunting?”

“Does that make you uncomfortable?”

He shrugs. “Kinda. But you haven’t eaten me yet.”

“Not yet,” I tease. “I’m not hunting. Sssnake found out where Spiral keeps the key to Soren’s cage. I’m going to go and get it.”
