“Aren’t you interested in finding out?”

He flicks some gravel across the floor that I must have brought in on my shoes.

“Not really. I’ve spent my life almost completely alone. I wouldn’t know where to start. But what I do know is that Karma is the perfect person for me. She doesn’t shy away from looking at me. She isn’t ashamed to say exactly what’s on her mind. And she can take my swollen cock entirely, as well as all my cum. I can’t lose her. I don’t think I could go back to how life was before her, knowing that it’s out there.”

Sadness creeps in as I listen.

I’ve always been a sensitive guy. I’m empathetic for most, for the ones considered ‘bad’. Maybe that’s what made me so tolerable of Karma’s… hobbies. Soren isn’t someone to be afraid of or kept in the shadows. He isn’t a bad person who deserves to be locked away in a cage and have tests performed on.

And isn’t Karma in the same situation with this ‘Kreo’ guy? She’ll feel obligated to him because he created her, but she hasn’t explored, hasn’t lived. It’s not fair.

“I know I couldn’t go back to normal without her. It took Micha a little longer to accept her, but he’s always been defensive over me. Even if he pretends to hate me sometimes.”

“Aren’t you and him together?” Soren asks, and the question strikes me.

What are we now?

“I couldn’t tell you the answer to that. He knew how I felt about him, but he didn’t reciprocate. Sometimes he would tease me or flirt, and I’d get my hopes up, for him to bring them crashing down. It wasn’t until I started falling for Karma that he got jealous enough to be honest. So now we’re kind of existing. We’re still figuring ourselves out and how we fit with Karma in the mix. As well as you now, I guess.”

“Sounds to me like he’s afraid of getting hurt but more afraid of losing you.”

“I think he’s most afraid of hurting me. Micha’s a bit of a sadist.”

Soren raises an eyebrow. “You’re covered in needle-inflicted artwork. Aren’t you perfect together?”

“Exactly,” I huff. “It took him a while to see that.”

“Does it not bother you? Seeing her with other men?”

I pause and then shake my head. “I don’t think I’d be able to fulfil all her needs on my own. She gets something different from you, Micha, and me, and I think that works perfectly for her. I hate to admit it, but I think she gets something from Spiral, too.”

“Yeah, a near-death experience,” he grunts.

I feel guilty when my eyes start to stray from Karma to Soren’s physique. When I let him out of the cage, he was hesitant, thinking I was sent as a trick. I can’t lie—as I watched him crawl out of the cage and stand to a staggering height, my pulse stuttered. He’s far taller and larger than Micha, and I wasn’t sure that was possible. His long hair reaches his lower back, curling towards the ends, tucked behind pointed ears that have multiple spikes. I can clearly see the gills on the sides of his neck. There are four thick slits, two on either side, and shiny scales are scattered around his body.

For such a large, muscled man, his features are opposingly soft. Including his lips.

But his eyes are transfixing. They always hold a sadness to them, a loneliness, but the blue is so bright that it reflects off the tops of his cheeks.

He’s incredibly handsome.

I dart my eyes away quickly when he catches me staring.

“You can look, you know. I won’t kill you.”

“I shouldn’t. Not when Karma’s like this.”

“Are you attracted to me, Blondie?”

I swallow and nod. “No point lying about it. Yeah, I guess I am.”

“I enjoyed watching Karma suck you off back in the trailer, you know. Despite how jealous I am normally, you were both fun to observe.”

“Yeah, they have that effect on you, don’t they?” Micha says from behind us, and I nearly break my neck from how quickly I turn to face the entrance of the tent. There’s a clown standing beside him with black curly hair and white bows on either side of her head. She’s dressed in black and white patterns, and she looks like the female version of Spiral, only less loud and psychotic.

She quickly spins on her heel and rushes away, leaving Micha to creep into the tent.

“Who was that?”
