“By the gods, Fyn,” Hadeom mumbled. “I’m obliterated. You have obliterated me.”
Fyn’s head was still swimming, his body heavy, and his heart impossibly full. He was still buried inside Hadeom, and he had no desire to pull out, no intention of ever stopping. Fyn kissed the back of Hadeom’s neck, then his shoulder and slowly rolled his hips, letting him feel his hard arousal. “Do you need more time?”
Hadeom’s chuckle became a moan, and he lifted his arse and stretched his back underneath Fyn. “Time..., I’ve had nothing but time. I used to wish it away, and now I don’t want to waste another moment, Fyn. Not now. Not ever.” His shadows swirled inside him contentedly, licking at Fyn’s chest, his neck, and caressing his horns. “I want you to have me all night long.”
Fyn hummed as he began a slow thrusting rhythm. “I want to have you forever.”
“Forever, Fyn,” Hadeom murmured. “And always.”
Chapter
Twenty-One
HADEOM
Hadeom woke wrapped up in Fyn’s arms, his face pressed to Fyn’s chest with Fyn’s heartbeat in his ear. He’d slept so well. Better than he had in.... No, better than he ever had.
They were both naked, and Hadeom couldn’t help but take in Fyn’s magnificent, strong, and muscular body, his handsome face, and his sleep-messed curls.
He had the most perfect lips. The most perfect heart.
How on this earth Fyn had fallen in love with him, Hadeom would never know.
He didn’t deserve such a pure-hearted love. Not in the slightest, not ever. Hadeom was certain he was the most undeserving person possible of Fyn’s love.
But he also wasn’t about to risk ruining it. He would never throw such a gift back in Fyn’s face. He’d rather die before he hurt him.
He would take his love for what it was.
The most precious gift imaginable. And he would treat it as such.
He would look after Fyn, care for him, and love him so completely that Fyn would grow and thrive.
Fyn cracked an eyelid halfway. “You’re watching me sleep,” he said, his voice rough from slumber, and shut his eye again.
Hadeom chuckled and traced the line of his eyebrow with his fingertip. “I was just thinking,” he murmured.
His eyes remained closed. “About what?”
“Just promising myself that I will always protect you,” he said. “Promising to never dull your smile or be the reason for your tears. I will cherish your warmth, your sunshine. And I will protect your heart with all that I am.”
Fyn’s eyes opened now, his smile was slow to spread. “Good morning to you too.”
“You are so beautiful,” Hadeom murmured, taking in every detail of Fyn’s face. “And you are in my heart, now and for all time.”
Fyn chuckled. “Was last night so good, you woke up citing poetry?”
Hadeom ducked his head, and Fyn pulled him in close so Hadeom’s face was pressed into his neck. Fyn kissed the top of his head, a gesture Hadeom couldn’t ever remember someone doing to him.
Fyn was acting as if he was a precious thing.
No one had ever treated him like that.
“I want to wake up like this every day,” Fyn said.
“Okay,” Hadeom agreed. “I was going to put more wood on the fire, but I got sidetracked by your face in the early morning light.”
Fyn chuckled and rubbed Hadeom’s back. Hadeom marvelled in the touch. So simple, so innocent, and so perfect.
