No, I’m pretty sure she would agree to just about anything with him right now. She seems ready to eat up every word, if only he could say a few.

That’s fine; I have no problem talking for him. He just needs a little push.

“So, in short, Oli has a thing for ropes.”

Her confused look lets me know that didn’t help, and yeah, it might not have been my best work.

Fishing my phone from my pocket, I pull up some pictures before I offer it to her.

It’s easier to just show her.

She hesitates a moment, her eyes darting from my offered phone to Oli, who can’t even seem to look at her, his eyes instead downcast.

Her lips thin as she presses them together, clearly unsure what to do for Oli before she sighs and takes the phone.

I watch her as she scrolls from one picture to the next, examining them. After a moment, Oliver seems to give in and look up, unable to handle the silence.

“It’s beautiful,” Kat breathes, unable to hide the awe in her voice. She pries her eyes away from the phone to look up at Oli; a small smile tugs at the corner of her mouth, and I see the truth of her words shining in her eyes.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Oliver look so relieved, and honestly I feel a weight off my chest as well. She’s been dying for Oliver to let her in all the way, and this was the last thing.

Kat just wants to love him, every part of him, and he deserves that, maybe more than the rest of us.

“Told you she was perfect,” I tell him, but I’m not sure he even hears me as he looks at her like he’s seeing her for the first time.

“Is that why you used the straps of the dress to hold my arms?”

What?

I look from Kat to Oliver and back, trying to make sense of what she just said, as he turns bright red and gapes like a fish out of water.

No way…

“You fucked her at the store?” I nearly shout in shock.

Now they’re both red, and I honestly can’t even be upset. Jealous I missed out, of course, but it’s about time.

Next time I’m definitely taking her shopping.

Neither of them answers me, but really they don’t have to; their reaction is enough.

“Can I see?”

Oliver’s eyebrows damn near disappear into his hair as his eyes go wide at her question, and something about it feels so freeing.

Once upon a time, I’d hated him for what happened with Natasha, but looking back at it now…

Oliver should have hated me.

She’d been terrible to him, and I’d found a way to blame him. I thought he was being difficult when really she was never meant for us.

I need to remember to thank him for that later; had he shut up about her and let us go through with marrying her…

Well, I don’t even want to think about that.

“You want me to tie you up?” Oliver asks, and I see the hesitation on his face, the worry that he might have misunderstood clear as he second-guesses himself.

“Only if you want to.”
