“No,” she snaps, and again wrenches herself from my hold. Her hands go directly to my waistband where they tug in a clumsy attempt to pull my boxers down. “Not yet,” she mumbles. “Can’t be yet. Too early.”

I scoot further down the bed so I’m level with her again, having to curl my legs up so they don’t stick off the end, and try to reason with her. “I think you are. You’re burning up and your eyes are unfocused.”

She shakes her head, but then curls her arms around her stomach with a groan. “Need you, Aury.” Her voice is more gravelly than normal, and my cock jerks in my boxers. “Please.”

“Okay, Moonbeam. I’ve got you. Just give me one minute.” I scoot back up the bed and pull the blanket down enough for my head to pop out, then I roll onto my back so I can reach the night stand and grab my phone. I pull up Hayden’s info and hit dial, hoping they’re not on shift tonight. Siobhan is grappling with my boxers, and I try to help her by pulling them down, but she’s not even bothering with that anymore. She manages to get the waistband down enough to tug my hard cock out, and I clench my jaw at the feel of her hands on me.

Hayden’s phone rings once, twice.

Siobhan straddles me and sinks down with a loud moan.

“Aury?” Hayden answers, sounding half asleep.

“Holy fu—” I gasp.

“It’s one in the morning, wha—”

“She’s in heat,” I say through clenched teeth. She’s so hot and wet around me, it’s almost scorching. “Need you both. Now.”

“She’s… What?” Hayden says, and I can tell they’ve put me on speaker, so I assume Jayce is listening now as well.

“Heat spike, maybe?” I say between pants. “I don’t know. She said—” I grunt when she slams down on me, then grinds her clit into my pelvis, “she’s not in heat yet, but I’m pretty sure—Fuck, Siobhan.” The way she’s riding me has my balls cinching up already. I’m not going to last.

“Did she ask for us?” Hayden’s voice strangely neutral.

“No, but I’m sure she will as soon as she realizes I don’t have a knot.” I have my head tilted back on my pillow, chin in the air and jaw clenched as though that will help me not come in the next two seconds.

“Aury,” Hayden says, then pauses with a sigh. “We’d love to be there for her, but I’m not sure—”

I cut them off. “Moonbeam,” I demand, yanking the covers back. “Do you want your alphas here?”

She blinks and flinches away from the light, but her desperate grinding stops. “Alphas?” she says. I hold the phone towards her so they can hear her reply, but before I can clarify, her pussy clamps down on me with a wave of too-sweet slick. “Alphas! Yes, please,” she groans.

“Hear that? She wants you here,” I say.

“She didn’t specify—”

“Holy fuck, Hayden. I respect the need for consent, but you are her alphas. She wouldn’t want anyone else. We already talked about wanting you two, the idea of packing up, and she was all for it. That’s not consent for a bond, but for this? It would hurt her not to have you here.”

“Where are they?” Siobhan says, and I glance at her to see a concerning glassy sheen in her eyes.

“You’re about to make her cry,” I tell the alphas.

“Address,” Jayce barks, and I heave a sigh of relief.

I rattle off my address and the door code. “Bring food and water. I’ll try to get through to her, but I know she’d choose you.” I grip Siobhan’s hip in an attempt to still her so I can speak clearly. “I wouldn’t put her in danger. If you trust nothing else, trust that she is my priority here. Not you, not me. If I thought this had the slightest chance of hurting her, I wouldn’t have told you.”

Hayden doesn’t reply, and I can picture them fighting with themself.

“I can’t do this alone,” I whisper the words, my eyes fixed on Siobhan’s flushed body. “I don’t have what she needs. Please, help us.”

Jayce growls in the background, and Hayden sighs, then says, “We’ll be there soon.”

Chapter Thirty-One

Hayden

Her scent slams into us as soon as we enter the code for Aury’s door. I glance at Jayce, who hasn’t been able to stop the low growl in the back of his throat. His pupils are blown, nostrils flared, and he holds himself so rigidly I fear he’s going to pull something.
