Chris glanced back at Ody, eyes wide, already dreading how the night would go.

Ody just kept dragging Mano, who followed like every step cost him something.

They reached the pub Chris had suggested and sat at a round table. Ody took the seat beside Mano.

They looked over the beers on the menu.

“What are you getting?” Chris asked.

“Something strong,” Steve said, his gaze drifting back to the two of them.

“This blonde one’s good,” Mano said, pointing it out.

Ody shot him a look. “Oh, so you like blondes, huh?”

Mano huffed a quiet laugh.

Steve stilled. He just watched them. It was the first time he’d seen him laugh.

“Are you jealous of beers now too?” Mano asked.

“I’m jealous of everything,” Ody shot back.

“Did you tell them you were jealous of them in Mykonos?” Mano added.

Ody’s eyes widened. “Mano—”

Chris leaned forward, a grin forming. “Wait, what?”

“At the beach, when you were talking about—”

“Hey!” Ody lunged for him, trying to shut him up, but Mano leaned back, laughing.

“About how jacked I am.”

“You were jealous of us?” Chris said, amused.

Ody dropped back into his chair, mortified. “I’m telling them what you said right after that.”

Mano frowned, then froze. “Ody, don’t you dare.”

“Oh yeah?” Ody teased, already grinning. “Then why did you?”

“If you say it, I swear—”

“He said he’d invite all of you to an orgy,” Ody blurted, shooting Mano a triumphant look.

Silence.

Mano’s eyes widened. Ody turned to his friends, frozen.

Chris didn’t react. Steve looked horrified.

Then Chris burst out laughing. “Relax, idiots. We’re messing with you.”

Ody let out an awkward laugh, glancing at Mano.

Steve was still watching them when the waiter came over, breaking the moment.
