“Friends.”

“And you’re together?”

“Sort of.”

“What does that mean?”

Mano held his gaze. “She has a boyfriend.”

Nick blinked. “You’re seeing someone who’s taken?”

“If you start preaching, I swear I’ll punch you.”

Nick huffed out a quiet laugh, lifting his hands in surrender. “Alright, alright. Go on.”

Mano tilted his head, unimpressed. “What else do you want?”

“How long has this been going on? How serious is it? How far has it gotten—”

“Couple of months. None of your business. Still none of your business.”

Nick shook his head, a smile pulling at his lips despite everything. “You’re in deep already, aren’t you?”

Mano didn’t answer. His phone started ringing. Nick’s eyes flicked down to the screen, seeing the name Odysseus written in Greek.

Mano picked up. “Yeah?”

“Is the meeting over?”

“Yeah.”

“Are you back at the hotel?”

Mano leaned back in his chair, gaze still on Nick. “No. Coffee with Nick.”

“With your brother?” Ody asked, surprised. “You made up?”

“No. He’s playing the big brother.”

Nick’s brows pulled together as he brought his cup to his lips.

Ody’s voice softened. “So… you’re talking?”

“Yeah. He was just asking about you actually.”

Nick choked on his coffee, nearly spitting it out as he stared at him.

Mano’s lips curved. Let’s see if you’re still up for playing the role of the loving big brother now...

“Y-you told him about me?” Ody stammered.

“Yeah, baby,” Mano said, tilting his head, eyes still on Nick. “Told him you’re tall, with green eyes… And that you’ve got a girlfriend.”

Nick went completely still.

“And… what did he say?”

“Nothing yet.” Mano watched him, amused. “He’s looking at me like an idiot. I’ll call you later.”
