I raise a brow, “Any idea who they are?”

“No, but looks to be a younger cop, maybe a recruit or junior, and her superior. Some pompous excuse of a man.” Anita responds while checking her recently manicured nails.

“I will deal with them,” I murmur as I pass Anita. She nods, following me, but only to the end of the hallway. I see the two cops sitting beside each other. The female is clearly in a state of distress, while the male grabs hold of her.

I recognize her inky black hair the minute my eyes land on the two of them. Her sweet features are tense in a way that sends a bristle of anger through me. Her hypnotizing eyes glare at the brown-haired male cop whose grip looks far too tight.

“Stop touching me,” She snaps, her voice shaking and breathless. I approach them silently, keeping myself close to the shadows.

This motherfucker.

She takes his hand into a tight grip, breaking his hold on her shoulder. The cop across from her winces at her tight grip, and I smirk. There’s my little runaway.

I can see that she clearly has whatever the hell this is taken care of, but her political demeanour won’t give this man exactly what he deserves, so I step out of my cloak of shadows and approach the duo.

“She said, let the fuck go,” I growl, pulling on the man’s collar and slamming his face into the glass tabletop of the bar. There is a soft gasp, but I barely hear it over the grunting and groaning from my current victim.

Reaching into the waistband of my pants, I take it by its muzzle before offering it to the mystery woman. For a moment, I am distracted by her intense gaze. Her expression is unreadable and guarded. She is striking, nevertheless.

Today, she has her inky hair pulled back into a high ponytail, giving me an unrestricted view of her soft skin. She is wearing a black V-neck t-shirt that draws my eyes for a brief second to her perky tits. Her gaze snaps between the gun in my hand and my eyes.

“Should we end him?” I ask conspiratorially, as if the male in question isn’t currently wrestling against my grasp.

“What? No.” She narrows her eyes at me, “Sir, put the gun away and release my colleague.”

My lip quirks at the way her voice becomes devoid of the stammer. She’s all business now, and fuck does that make me want to play with her. Especially being in my club.

“Mmmm, sorry angelo mio, Sir doesn’t allow for this kind of behaviour in his clubs.” She flushes at the way I address myself using her honorific. Her soft, pale cheeks, blooming a soft shade of pink that shouldn’t stir the restless beast inside of me, but fuck it does. I growl lowly, my grip tightening on his collar and making the man I’m holding choke as he struggles against me.

I turn to the man in question, placing my gun on the bar, “What do you have to say for yourself?”

In the corner of my eye, I see Anita step towards us, but I shake my head, keeping her back. I watch as she raises her eyebrow, questioning me and what I am doing. In all honesty, I don’t know. All I know is there was a glimpse of fear in my mystery woman’s eyes before she covered it up, and I want nothing more than to destroy the man responsible. I will dissect that later, but for now…

“She is my subordinate–” He wheezes and gurgles as I tighten my hold once more.

His voice is pained but not pained enough. If I weren’t currently in the presence of another cop, I would shoot him, but I can’t trust Mila not to try to arrest me. I smirk at that thought. I think I would let her and go with her willingly into the interrogation room.

Ren would have me out of there the second I call him, but I would prolong our time together and bask in her dominant officer role.

“Subordinate or not, that doesn’t mean you get free rein to put your hands on her, especially when she tells you otherwise.”

When I slam his head one more time into the glass countertop, it makes a gruesome thud. Mila’s eyes widen, her fear flashing across her features. She shoves my gun away, allowing it to slide down the bar and pulls out her taser. I furrow my brows at the way she pushes the gun from us instead of pulling it on me, but I allow her to have the upper hand, stepping away from the man. I may have another gun strapped to my ankle, but I am curious to see what she will do.

“Hands up,” She snaps, and my cock twitches as I do as she asks, despite the wailing man beside me. I look her up and down, my hands in the air. A few less intoxicated patrons stare in disbelief. The darkness that always takes shape when I am on these familiar streets surfaces with obsessive intrigue.

“Mmmm,” I hum, a devilish smirk spreading across my lips as I watch her diligently, “are you going to cuff me, principessa?”

That pink continues to burn her cheeks, her eyes glaring a dagger at me, “We are here to ask you a few questions about the recent crimes against sex workers. Will you speak with us, or do we have to return with a warrant?”

Her voice is straight business, not letting my subtle flirts waver her professionalism, and it has the depravity that lurks deep within me, restless for more. Blood pulses in my cock as she dares to threaten me. If she were anyone else, it would be the last time she spoke, but for some reason, rage doesn’t simmer inside of me. I don’t want to harm her, but fuck do I want to see how her body would flush while I punish her.

“Come on back to my office.” I look down at the pathetic man still groaning against the counter, “As for you, get the fuck out of my club.”

I nod over to Isaac, my club bouncer, and his ugly mug comes strutting up to us, ready to take the cops out, “Make sure this one finds his way out. He isn’t welcome in any of my clubs.”

Isaac nods, not saying a word as he pulls the man to his feet. Mila looks between the two men, the cop stumbling to keep up, and myself.

“Shall we?” I raise one of my brows and cross my arms over my chest. My eyes narrow as Mila’s gaze drops to my pecs, her pupils dilating and constricting in a way I have never seen before, as if her mind is warring with her body.
