“As much as I love those beautiful sounds, you should know that if Adriano hears even a muffled version of your pleasure, I am going to have to put a bullet between his eyes,” Massimo murmurs as he kisses slowly down the sensitive skin of my neck.
I gasp, pulling from Massimo to see if he is joking. His coffee-coloured eyes swirl with nothing but lethal promise.
“You can’t kill people.” I try to push away from him, but he keeps his grip on my waist firm.
“Your sounds of pleasure are for me and me only,” he declares with certainty, “I was your first kiss, your first orgasm, and in ten minutes, I will be your first fuck. I don’t share, and there will be no one after me.”
My skin pimples with goosebumps as his hot breath caresses my skin. I whimper as doubt and shame crash into me in troves.
“I-I can’t give you that…” When he won’t let me pull away, I bury my face into his chest.
The reminder of having my first time stolen from me pierces through me like a knife. Massimo knows this. He knows there is no going back and undoing what happened.
“Mila,” Massimo says softly as he guides me to look at him, “Nobody can take your first time away from you. What that motherfucker did to you has sentenced him to a forever in Hell, and I will ensure his journey to the gates is slow. But your first time, that is something you have to give to someone who has earned your trust.”
My lower lip trembles, and I force it between my teeth, stopping it from giving away the half a decade of agony and attempts at accepting it.
“I wanted my first time to be memorable,” I admit, my cheeks flushing.
A playful smile tugs at Massimo’s lips, “Well damn, angel, way to put the pressure on me.”
He winks, solidifying what he has said. I’m going to get my first time.
Tears begin to blur my vision, and Massimo kisses them away, “Do you trust me, Mila?”
I nod, “Yes, I do.”
“You know I would never do anything to hurt you, correct?” Massimo adds.
Okay… That’s a weird question to be asking.
“Yes?” I answer it more like a question than an affirmation.
“Good, I want you to remember that in fifteen minutes when you start to question me and yourself.”
Chapter 39
Mila
My body sings with nervous anticipation as Massimo carries me up the grand entrance stairs towards a massive double door.
“Mas…” I gawk at the sheer size of the property and mansion sitting on it. This isn’t a house or a manor, as Massimo had called it. “Where are we?”
The tall pillars stand hauntingly against dark brickwork, unspoken nightmares whispering in the breeze.
“Home,” he says as he opens the main door into a brightly lit foyer. The interior is far less haunting than the exterior, albeit a little dated, but the sheer size of the ceiling and the massive chandelier that hangs make me feel out of place.
Home.
The word is so warm and welcoming. Yet the room around us is far from familiar.
“Yours?” I whisper.
“Ours.” He declares as he carries me up the stairs in powerful, determined strides.
Our home.
The sound of it both terrifies me and makes my heart swell.
