Wow.
“Fire her? What for?”
It’s obvious Miss Tweed knows nothing about my and Sandy’s personal connection.
“She’s not a real teacher, Mr. Deep. She’s here on nepotism grounds. You see, I don’t know if you know but Miss Finn’s family are very rich. She insists that her father has nothing to do with her financially, but I’m sure that’s still the case. No one’s that selfless.”
“And what’s so wrong about her?”
“Trust me, Mr. Deep, I’ve seen her in action in the classroom. She can’t teach, it’s that simple. She can’t maintain discipline and order. It’s because of her that I worry that her students are going to fail English come the exams this year. I mean, even today I had to break out a fight between her students that had erupted into the school hallways and was disrupting other classes. She should be fired.”
“I see.”
“If I were put in charge of Poseidon’s Academy, I would be making some big changes immediately,” Miss Tweed continues “Changes for the better. I’d be cutting the riff-raff, so to speak. The first to go would be Miss Finn over there.”
“Interesting,” I reply. “Well, I’m sure I’ll be talking to you a lot over the next few weeks.”
“Oh, it’ll be so good having you around, Mr. Deep.”
I watch Miss Tweed waddle away. She slowly makes her way around the hotel conference room until she’s talking to the same group of parents Sandy is with. It’s like she wants to intimidate Sandy with her presence. God, that teacher has really got it out for Sandy.
I’ll need to keep an eye on her.
So, she can’t wait to start cutting the riff-raff. Very interesting. It’ll be good to find out more about this Miss Tweed.
But my attention quickly darts away from her and onto Sandy. She’s laughing with a parent. God, she’s beautiful. I steady myself with another sip of wine. She has only got more mesmerizing eight years later. I’ve made a good choice coming back here for her. She’s just like she is in my dreams.
The only girl in the world for me.
My focus is distracted by someone coming towards me. A young woman about my age is sauntering towards me. She’s very conventionally attractive. Black hair. Big lips. Very skimpy dress.
She walks right up to me and offers her hand. “Hey,” she says. “I’m Becky. Becky Taylor.”
What now?

SANDY
I saw her approach him.
Becky Taylor.
The most attractive female parent of the school, who also happens to be a young single parent. Single being the operative word there.
I saw Becky Taylor sauntering across the room, shaking her hips with every step like a supermodel on a runway, all the way towards Skipper until she was introducing herself to him. Fluttering her eyelashes. Perking up her big tits. I saw Skipper shake her hand and start to chat with her.
Bloody hell.
He didn’t have a chance to get away, even if he wanted to.
Of course, she would be all over him. Becky had a special gift of being able to sniff out rich eligible bachelors. It was her superpower. A lot of the single male parents had been on the receiving end of her powers plenty of times, and none emerged from her captivity unscathed. I bet even Skipper Deep will find it hard to untangle himself from her claws.
And now she was deploying her full sensual arsenal against Skipper. I shake my head.
Wait, why am I jealous?
Was that really a pang of jealously that passed through me when I saw her talking to him?
