“Before I kneel,” I say, looking at Zaitsev, “check your phone.”

Belov’s attention moves toward him.

Five phones vibrate almost together.

Zaitsev takes his from inside his coat. Kozlov follows, then Tarasov. Rudenko reaches for his, but Belov raises his free hand.

“Leave them,” Belov orders.

Zaitsev unlocks his screen. “This came through Maksim’s command channel.”

“Maksim’s channel is compromised,” Chernov says, stepping toward him.

Zaitsev’s guard moves between them. “Stay where you are.”

Chernov stops.

Kozlov opens the first file. His eyes move across the payment records before he turns the screen toward Chernov.

“Your collection office paid Anton Serebryakov’s gambling debts,” Kozlov says. “The same office paid three guards inside Maksim’s estate.”

Chernov rests one hand near the pistol at his back. “Accounts can be forged.”

“The bank copies are certified,” I say. “Petrov sent the originals to every captain before I entered this building.”

Tarasov scrolls through the next pages. “Chernov’s company also rented the Yaroslavl warehouse.”

Vera’s eyes move toward him.

I nod once. “The warehouse belonged to her father’s dormant company. Belov’s people revived it to create her Blacklist debt, then used the property to store medical shipments.”

Belov keeps the gun against Vera. “A business arrangement proves nothing.”

Another file reaches the phones. Cara used the contractor names Abramov found and followed the payments Petrov had already flagged.

Zaitsev leans toward Kozlov’s screen. “The plumbing foreman is your customs broker’s brother.”

“He has a brother,” Rudenko says. “What’s your point?”

Kozlov opens the next page. “Your broker sent money to Chernov’s collection office. That office cleared Anton’s debts and paid the guards who let the plumbers inside.”

Rudenko looks at Chernov, but Chernov keeps his attention on Belov.

“It puts both of you in the same chain,” Kozlov says.

Vera shifts her weight onto one knee and tests the restraints. The guard behind her tightens his grip.

“Gurin sold Marina’s complaint to Semyon Vlasov,” she says, her voice steady. “Vlasov works for Belov, and Gurin was sleeping with Rudenko’s daughter.”

Rudenko looks down before Belov can stop him. His face changes when he sees his daughter’s name beside Gurin’s.

Belov turns the gun slightly. “You were told to stay quiet.”

“You kidnapped the wrong woman if you wanted quiet.”

Kozlov’s mouth almost moves.

The next alert sounds.
