I tightened my hold on my cock and squeezed, my lips parting and relinquishing a moan. It was louder than I intended it to be. I silently cursed to myself, and the other end of the phone grew silent.
“Ohhh, you are terrible Noah,” Silas whispered, his voice heavy and his breathing erratic. “But...ah...I guess that’s what makes you so addicting.”
Silas was pleased; I was sure. His point was proven, that he had gotten to me, and could get to me if he tried hard enough. It was just so hard to pull away.
His hooks were sunk too deep.
“I have to go,” I quickly replied. This would get out of hand very soon if I didn’t leave.
“You don’t want to.”
“I never said I did.”
“Don’t,” Silas implored, letting out a little sigh. “Finish with me, little Raven.”
The pet name Silas called me nearly sent me spiraling. My body was on fire. My hand stalled, and I inhaled sharply, desperate to calm myself before I came. I couldn’t even fathom how he had gotten me this close, this quickly. And the fact that he was using endearments on me already. The prestigious Silas Thorne wanted me, a druggy with no future in sight.
I didn’t know if this terrified or excited me.
“I can’t. I have to go.” I repeated, knowing that if the message didn’t sink in this time, I would give in to him and stay on the line.
“If you must,” Silas released an unsatisfied groan. “Then do one thing for me.”
I fidgeted. “It depends.”
“Remember this. What you’re doing. How you feel. Because that, is never going to go away.”
I didn’t speak. What would I even say to that?
“And trust me, I’ll make sure of it.”
“And Noah–” There was a temporary stall. “When you hang up, don’t stop until you make yourself cum.”
He wasn’t even here, and my cheeks still burned at his request.
“Goodbye, Silas.”
“Not for long.”
I hung up the phone, pumping into my fist desperately until I broke, releasing into my hands. As I rested back against the door, I wondered in ecstasy if Silas knew that I obeyed his command willingly, without question.
Chapter seventeen
Dead to Me
DELANE
Istayed late at school so that I could finish up some of the work I never got around to.
Only five more questions, then I can go home.
I sighed. It was already growing dark outside and I was tired. If it wasn’t for Chelsea taking me out the other day, my homework would be complete, I would have never been touched by a man named Silas...
...and never met Noah.
My thoughts kept returning to the moment when Noah nearly shot his brother behind his estate. Why did he have that weapon to begin with? Was there really a reason to have so much fear of someone or something, that he had to bring a weapon to his own home?
I couldn’t shake the frustration of the entire situation. Because I actually enjoyed some of the moments with the Hansens, even though their family situation still remained a mystery to me. Just being around Noah and his family had put me at ease after such a horrific ordeal. Standing in the kitchen with his mother, cooking and laughing was an interaction I missed in my family because we rarely spent time together. They hadn’t even known me for very long, yet they had just embraced me.
