Callahan pumps harder and faster in response. “Is that him?” he growls.
Afraid to admit it, I screw my eyes shut and fight to keep the door between me and Tavish closed.
“No more hiding, Elsie.” Callahan wraps a hand around my neck. “Look at me.”
I obey.
He rifles through my mind without any of the barriers I’ve kept up around him, and when he finds the other bond that I’ve managed to hide for so long, Callahan throws it wide open.
“If you want to watch me fuck my wife, Cousin, then by all means, come on in.”
Callahan doesn’t shut him off. He lets all that exists between us, the devotion and frantic desire, pummel into Tavish as he really fucks me.
My body climbs higher up the bed with each powerful thrust, until I reach up a hand to brace against the headboard. We can both feel my past hovering in the invisible doorway, witnessing everything. My pleasure and Callahan’s.
My husband slides a hand between us, the tips of his fingers encased in light, and begins rubbing my clit in tight little circles. His magic vibrates against the most sensitive parts of me, sparks of electricity rolling and worshipping as a broken groan rips past my parted lips.
“Show him, mo sholas. Show him how much you belong to me.”
Between Callahan’s words, the way his body slams into mine, and the ministration of his fingers wrapped in light, I’m an instrument that he’s an expert in playing. I can’t stop the tremble that starts in my legs until my whole body is quaking.
None of it matters anymore.
“I’m coming,” I call out, and my pussy grips Callahan’s hard length in a vice.
Callahan drops his head to my neck, plastering himself to me completely as he follows me over the edge in a splintering release.
I band my arms around his neck, my legs around his waist, and we shudder out benedictions of love and praise until we’re spent.
When he’s gathered himself, Callahan turns his attention back to the Seelie still prowling in the unseen. “You’re too late, Tavish. I’m hers in all the ways you could never be, and a piece of me lives within her now.”
He doesn’t reply, but we both sense his snarl as Tavish slams the connection closed, his wrath a tempest that follows him.
“He’ll retaliate to that,” I say breathlessly, as Callahan rolls us onto our side and I collapse against his chest, his arms draped around me.
“I don’t give a fuck. He needs to know you’re not alone in this anymore, and he can’t keep messing with you.”
I tuck my head beneath Callahan’s chin, his fingers tracing patterns along my back, and marvel at the way he didn’t even hesitate when Tavish was there, or when he found out what I’ve been keeping from him.
In my gut I know there is no one else better. That Callahan always was, and always will be, the best choice when it comes to keeping my heart safe.
“We’re done talking about him. He has no place on our wedding night,” he says, dropping his mouth to mine. “Tonight is about me and you, and all the ways I can make my Anamara come.”
Yes. Please.
Chapter 48
Elsie
Did we sleep? Not at all.
Every time one of us referred to the other as husband or wife, or something new sparked in the piece of ourselves living beyond our bodies, we were feral.
Sometimes we took each other ravenously, sometimes we came together with gentle touches and slow exploration. No matter how it happened, all of it was more than I’d ever dared to hope from a relationship.
Only when the sun began to rise did we relent and give in to the exhaustion tugging at us. Callahan didn’t let me get very far, and dragged me into the safety of his arms after we showered and cleaned our teeth.
That’s where I slept peacefully until mid-morning, when I woke with a rumbling stomach, an ache between my thighs, and Callahan’s hard cock pressing into my ass.
