“Aht-aht,” she pulled away from me just as I was trying to move her around to my lap.

“What you mean aht-aht? Bring yo’ ass here, Lourdes.”

“No. It hasn’t been six weeks yet.”

“Four weeks is good enough.”

“Not according to my doctor, nigga.”

“Who you trust more? Me or your doctor?”

“Armias, go to hell,” she tittered. “We not fucking until my six weeks are up.”

“So you called yourself teasing me tonight, huh?”

“What?”

“Yea. You fed me, rolled my blunts, you rubbing on me and shit, and you got on this lil ass shit,” I gestured to her pink Hello Kitty night gown that resembled a negligee because it was short, it came with matching panties, and it was lined in lace. It was a damn shame that they made freaky shit with cartoon characters on it.

“Armias, my Granny cooked and everybody ate. Don’t make it seem like I cooked you a hot meal to get your hopes up about fucking.”

“Alright, so just conveniently ignore the other shit,” I replied while holding back a grin. I was aware that I was being irrational, but I missed everything about making love to her. It didn’t help that we’d been going at it like crazy damn near everyday for the two months prior to her having Alouri. We’d gone so long without doing anything that we were making up for lost time and being late in her pregnancy wasn’t stopping shit. She was backed up and her raging hormones had her hornier than ever, so we were going at it like porn stars. I obviously knew all that would come to an abrupt halt once Alouri was born and I thought I’d be okay. I had self control and was capable of going without sex even if I preferred not to. With a new born baby, there was no time to think about sex or getting my dick wet anyway. But a full month had gone by, I’d gotten the hang of being a parent, and Lourdes was doing shit to purposely make my dick hard. She was putting sexual thoughts on my mind.

“You’re crazy,” she kissed the side of my face all the way down to my neck.

“Alright…go ‘bout your business, bruh.”

“What?” She giggled. “Are you telling me I can’t kiss you?”

“Not unless you trying to pull this dick out and sit on it.”

“You right, let me stop.” She moved her head from my neck and went back to rubbing my shoulders.

“That’s what I thought,” I chuckled. “So how was your day?”

“It was cool until I sat down for dinner with my mama and granny…well it was still cool, but they definitely shook some shit up.”

“How so? It didn’t seem like anything happened between y’all.”

When I came home everything seemed normal and I didn’t get any inkling that something had gone down. They were all drinking wine, but that was normal shit for women. But to my knowledge Lourdes hadn’t been drinking alcohol since Alouri was born. She wasn’t breastfeeding though, so she could’ve gotten back to drinking right away if she wanted to.

“Is that why you were drinking?”

“Yup,” she replied. “And nothing happened between me, my mama, and my granny. It was that damn Nalyssa. I finally found out who her baby daddy is.”

“Oh, who is it?” I asked when I really didn’t care. I’d never even thought about it because that shit didn’t have nothing to do with me. But I was always going to entertain anything Lourdes had to say.

“Kendall. My ex.”

“Man, what?!” I exclaimed. I didn’t have to fake my reaction that time. I was sincerely shocked to hear that. “Isn’t he bouta have a baby with his best friend? So she got pregnant by him before her friend?”

“Yup.”

“What the fuck they got going on over there?”

“Apparently it was a whole lot of sneaking and freaking going on, and ain’t no telling how long it was happening behind my back.”

“Yea, they was definitely doing the most…so how you gon’ handle it?” I glanced back at her mostly to analyze her. Her face appeared to be neutral. Her body language was relaxed. She didn’t seem anxious or angry. Those were good signs, but I wasn’t stupid. She was talking to me, so she had enough sense to play it cool like she wasn’t phased by any of this. Evidently it bothered her enough earlier if she had to have a drink to calm her nerves. That was something I couldn’t get with because her ex or any nigga other than me wasn’t supposed to have that type of power over her emotions. I wasn’t an irrational nigga, so her being upset with her cousin was understandable. I was big on the principle of shit and Nalyssa’s actions had proved her to be disloyal. She was already done with her though because of the social media shit, so that had been established already. Finding this out was only reinforcing the fact that Nalyssa was flaw, so I felt like nothing else needed to come of this. If she resorted to more online arguments and fist fighting over some nigga she claimed she didn’t care about then we’d have a real issue on our hands.
