“Oh, Nolan…” she sighed, but in happiness, and then she kissed me.

We savored each other until our mouths got greedy and our tongues waged war on each other. The sheets tangled around our legs, and my head somehow ended up underneath my pillow while she straddled me.

I smirked up at her when we pulled away from each other and laughed. “I thought you couldn’t keep your eyes open?”

She ground down on my boner. “Not too tired to ride this dick.”

“Oh. Is that so?”

She nodded. “Uh-huh.”

“C’mere you,” I growled and pulled her down for another kiss.

It wasn’t long before she was riding my dick and screaming out my name. I couldn’t wait to make this woman my wife and have her be my forever.

Chapter Seventeen

AVERY

“What about this one?” Gemma asked. She held up another dress for me to look at.

It had been about a week since I moved in with Nolan and agreed to marry him. We went to get our marriage license earlier this week, and I was surprised we got it back yesterday already. I was worried they would give us a hard time about the self uniting license since we weren’t Quakers, but it was a breeze.

We decided to get married on Christmas Day, up in the loft space of the brewery, with Declan and Gemma as our witnesses. It would be a small ceremony with our siblings, my dad, and some of the staff from the brewery. Lizzie and Wyatt were still unsure if they could come because Christmas morning was chaos with their kids.

Since we were on a time crunch, Gemma dragged me out to look for a wedding dress today. I felt like she had taken me everywhere. We started at a bridal shop, then she took me to her favorite consignment shop, and now we were at the King of Prussia Mall. I was cranky and tired, and I wanted to crawl back into bed and sleep all day.

“Gem, can we go?” I begged.

My little sister rolled her eyes at me. “Come on, Avs, you need to find a dress for your wedding.”

I glared at her. “I will get married in a hockey jersey at this point. I don’t even care. Nolan might like that. I’ll even wear a TJ Desjardins one; he’s Nolan’s favorite player.”

Gemma flipped her fading pink hair over her shoulder and rolled her eyes at me. “You’re so annoying. Okay, wait.” She pulled out her phone, scrolled on something, and then shoved it in my face. “What about this?”

I peered at the screen. On her phone was the image of a vintage-style white-ivory dress with half sleeves and an A-line skirt that hit at the knees. It was perfect. It was nice enough for a wedding dress, but not too fancy for my minimalistic style.

“Oh. Do you think that would come in time?” I asked.

Christmas was two weekends from now, so our wedding was fast approaching, and I was already worried we wouldn’t be ready for everything. Especially since my sister had taken over planning it.

“Do you want it?”

“Yeah, Gem, it’s perfect.”

She gave me a cheeky grin. “Okay, good, because I ordered it like ten minutes ago, and I paid more for rush shipping to get it here on time.”

“Gem!” I screeched and clenched my jaw. “Then why are you torturing me?”

She stuck out her tongue. “Because it’s fun, and because I wanted to spend time with you. I feel like I don’t get to see you now that you’re shacking up with your baby daddy.”

I frowned at that. I hadn’t realized I had been neglecting my sister. Sometimes, she could be needy, so I think today was just an excuse to get in some quality sister time.

I hugged her. “I’m sorry if you felt neglected.”

She leaned into the hug. “I’m just teasing. I’m so happy for you and Nolan. You’re the sunshine to his grumpy bear nature. He needs you.”

I let go of the hug, and we walked out of the dress department. I eyed my sister suspiciously when she led me over to the lingerie department. “Do you need more bras?” I asked.
