“Fifteen minutes.”

“I’ll meet you there. I’ll think of options, too.”

“Appreciate it.”

When Max hung up, Raiden dialed Kane but got his voice mail. “Call me. Lisa’s location has probably been breached. Need some options on where to store her.”

* * *

Raiden was freaking her out. Lisa couldn’t understand how his parents could be so calm. She watched as Akari was folding William’s clothes and putting them into a suitcase.

“I’m calm because Raiden said he has this under control,” Akari explained. Lisa looked closely at the undershirt that Akari was folding and realized it had actually been ironed. She was the bomb. “And anyway, we were planning on vacationing in Hawaii next year anyway, this just moves up our plans.”

She folded another ironed undershirt, then started folding William’s boxers. Yep, even those had been ironed. “We have family there.”

Lisa looked up from the packing process to look at Akari’s face. “You do?”

“Yes. Most of my family is here in Virginia, but a lot of William’s is in Hawaii. We travel there every other year. My boy loves to surf, did he tell you that?”

Lisa shook her head.

“He’ll teach you. You’ll love it.”

“I’m not sure about that.”

“Nonsense. Maybe you’ll go on your honeymoon to Hawaii.”

Lisa’s jaw dropped. “Did you just say that?”

Akari walked around the bed and sat down next to Lisa. “My son is in love with you, you know that don’t you?”

Holy hell.

“Uhm, no.”

Akari’s gaze searched her face. “You will.” Then she got back up off the bed and continued to pack her suitcase.

Okay, now Raiden and Akari were freaking her out. She had to get out of the bedroom and see what was going on downstairs. As soon as she hit the bottom step, she was blown back by a wave of testosterone. William, Nic, Max, Raiden, and A.J.’s husband were standing around the dining room table, and they all looked grim. As a single unit, they looked up at her and tilted their chins. William spoke first.

“Is my wife done packing?”

“Almost.”

“Good, we have to leave for the airport in a half hour. I’m going to go check on her.” He headed up the stairs.

Raiden broke away and came over to her. “Are you doing okay?” he asked.

“Not really,” she answered honestly.

“It’s going to be fine. We’re going to get you somewhere safe, and then we’re going to arrange for Maria to become a non-issue.”

“What are you going to do?”

“We’re going to let her come to us.”

Lisa bit her lip. She didn’t like the sound of that, but she peeked around Raiden at the three other men and then thought about Maria.

“She’s not going to come alone,” Lisa whispered.
