“Foolish old man. You’ll just set us up to be ambushed. Tell me where they are, and I will take care of the rest.”

“I could be wrong, I’m not one hundred percent sure where they are,” Kaan protested.

“Then you better get sure. I will leave you a number where you can reach me. If you find out some new information, feel free to give it to me. But in the meantime, tell me where they are!”

“They use the old tool and die manufacturing plant outside of Batman that closed down a few years ago.”

“Where the hell is that?” Frank demanded to know.

“Linc, shoot out the tires on the two sprinters. Leave them with only the truck.”

“Wait, Linc,” Gideon chimed in. “Are you sure that all of the vehicles are clear?” he asked over the comm system.

“No. Somebody could still be hiding in the back of the truck or either of the two sprinters.”

“Damn,” Gideon responded.

“Why?” Kostya asked.

“I was going to have him throw his phone under the driver’s seat, then I’d be able to track him in case you lose him.”

“Tell me where it is!” Frank shouted again.

Ryker looked down at Kaan and saw that he was listing in his chair. Great, he was going to pass out from the drugs. Now wasn’t the time. Ryker reached out and grabbed his shoulder, sinking his fingers into his neck. “Tell him where the tool plant is in Batman,” Ryker growled.

“It’s north of the city. Take Batman Bitlis Hwy and go past the Aquapark, then you’ll see it,” he whispered.

“What the fuck did he say? I couldn’t hear him.”

“He said, it’s north of the city and you need to take the Batman Bitlis Hwy and go past the Aquapark.”

“What’s the fucking address?” Frank yelled out.

“Don’t you have fucking Google?” Ryker yelled back. “He’s given you what you want, now give us the boy.”

“I should have my men annihilate you.”

“Yep, that sounds like a great idea. We’ll just all have a great big shootout. We all end up dead. That’s why you planted a bomb on the kid in the first place, because you wanted to die in this courtyard. So now to go with the tiny pee-pee and the outsized balls, you’ve got shit for brains,” Ryker sneered.

“Take it easy,” Kostya warned him. “The minute you get the kid clear of Frank, we’re taking the shot.”

But Frank only laughed. “You have no idea. Now get over here and take the kid from my arms,” he demanded.

“Just set him down and walk away,” Nolan spoke up.

“Stay out of this, this is between your buddy and me. Come on, asshole, come take the kid out of my arms, or are you a chickenshit?”

“Oh God, I feel like I’m back in kindergarten,” Ryker chuckled as he started around the fountain. “Franklin, here you are calling me chicken. Are you going to start making clucking noises?”

Frank didn’t respond, and Ryker went right up to him. He went to take the boy out of his arms, but Frank didn’t let go. “Two things. First, I’m going to remember you,” Frank said.

Ryker sighed. “Everybody always does. Now release the boy.”

“Second,” Frank actually snickered, “I almost don’t want to tell you the second thing. It’d almost be worth it if you’re the one holding the kid.”

Ryker’s stomach dropped. “What?”

“Just that if you’re thinking that your sniper can take me out when I walk away you may want to reconsider that move.” He pulled back his shirt collar to reveal a wire taped to his skin that disappeared under his shirt. “If my heart stops or I lose consciousness, the bomb goes off, got it?”
