“No, it felt too divine,” Vallen countered, nuzzling her ear. Rosuke lightly laughed in agreement. “If we could, I’d gladly spend the rest of the day putting you in every possible position I could think of, just to see if the noises from your throat sounded different each time.”
“Perhaps after the little one has fallen asleep tonight, we can use one of the separate buildings where the old servants used to stay,” Rosuke suggested, leaning back on his hands. His cock felt well used, but the idea appealed enough to make it twitch with interest.
“I don’t think my throat would last,” she whispered, putting her head back on Vallen’s shoulder.
“You’d be amazed how long a woman can scream with the right men making love to her,” Rosuke rejoined, rolling his neck. The dizzy feeling was starting to fade, and he realized with a grin that she had completely replenished him.
“I believe she’s passed out,” Vallen observed, craning his head to see her slumbering face.
Rosuke tilted his head to the side and with a smile said, “Sleep well, Shumei. And thank you again for saving my life.”
Chapter Fifteen
Deep whispers drew Shumei from sleep. She felt clean…and far too warm. Not only was she dressed again, she was also covered in blankets and bracketed on both sides by two sex demons. Their soft conversation had woken her, but the room was still dark. How long had she been asleep?
“When do you think she’ll have learned the circle?” Rosuke murmured.
“Perhaps another week,” Vallen said.
“Vallen?” she croaked. Both demons jerked in surprise.
“Sorry, did we wake you?” he responded.
“I need water,” she said, then swallowed around the scratchiness in her throat. Rosuke pulled away from her and she heard the bedroom door slide open.
Vallen kissed her forehead. “How are you feeling, love?”
“I think I’ll be fine once I drink some water. What time of day is it?”
“The sun rises in about an hour.”
“What? Why have I been asleep so long?”
“Well, you’ve been feeding me weekly, and then you gave Rosuke a whole month’s worth of energy. And I know you’ve been depriving yourself of sleep while trying to memorize that damned circle for the ritual. You were exhausted.”
She turned toward the scent of his spiced soap. “How’s Oka? Is he worried?”
“I told him casting magic takes a toll on beginners. He assumed you waved your hand over Rosuke to heal him and then passed out from the effort. He doesn’t know what happened in this room.”
“That’s good. He’s not yet ten as it is.” She breathed a sigh of relief, snuggling close.
Rosuke returned a moment later bearing a cup of water, and though she didn’t need any help, both demons pulled her to a sitting position. She gratefully downed the water without stopping for breath, and the cup was taken away from her before she could even ask. She felt like a pampered princess, and she wasn’t sure whether she liked it.
“Are you still tired?” Vallen asked. She blinked the sleep from her eyes and saw that both of them were half-naked. The light of a single lantern in the hallway outlined their bare upper bodies, and for a second, she remembered being pressed between them, hot and sweating and mewling for more.
Blushing, she looked down at herself. Someone had dressed her in a silken under-robe that was nearly see-through. The shadow of her aureoles was easy to see, even in the dim light. She quickly covered herself.
“Did you bathe and dress me?” she asked Vallen.
“Rosuke wanted to, but I didn’t let him,” he said with a cocky smile. “He took care of the bedding instead—on the condition that I dress you in that.”
“I’m not a doll,” she said sternly. The two demons exchanged a glance that said neither of them were at all contrite.
“Would you have preferred we put you to bed naked? Many nobles slept as such, including me,” Vallen said. Shumei huffed, wondering where all his appreciation from earlier had gone.
“Well, we should all be awake—and dressed appropriately—when Oka comes to breakfast. After that, I’ll continue studying the ritual to cure you. What you do with your morning is up to you, obviously,” she said, tossing her mane of hair over her shoulder.
“It seems we’ve been dismissed,” Rosuke joked, sliding off the bed again and making a show of it as he flashed a sultry look at Shumei. Vallen rolled his eyes at his friend, knowing he was joking when he flirted. It was Rosuke’s way of coping.
