Sorry, baby. I’ll make it up to you when I get back
Charlie didn’t respond to that, which was suspicious enough, but Auston didn’t pay it any mind, collecting his stuff and heading for the door.
It was only fifteen minutes into the event that he saw the error of his ways.
He choked on the Negroni he’d been sipping on as he opened his thread with Charlie and saw a picture of him all dressed up in his frilliest lingerie set, splayed out on the sheets Auston had gotten him. He seemed relaxed, legs were opened casually, resting like he was just waiting for Auston.
Auston lifted a finger at the couple of donors he’d been talking to, shuffling off to a private corner.
He opened the message again.

Really?
He waited, but there was no reply.
Jesus Christ. He knew Charlie well enough to sense this wasn’t the last message he’d receive that night.
Auston had expected the night to be torturous—he wasn’t exactly a great schmoozer, and talking to some rich assholes for hours was his exact idea of a bad time.
Having to endure it as Charlie sent him increasingly revealing pictures?
Yeah, that was one of the rings of hell.
Auston jumped about a foot in the air as someone clapped him on the shoulder, almost dropping the phone he’d been salivating over.
“Hey, man,” Noah greeted, stuffed into his own tux. “You good? You’ve been checking that thing all night.”
Auston put his phone in his pocket even though every PR person he’d ever encountered hated when he did that—it ‘ruined the lines of the tux’ or whatever, but fuck if he was gonna carry around one of those Alpha purses that were getting popular.
Auston cleared his throat, hoping the blush on his face wasn’t too obvious. “Nothing. Mind your own business.”
Noah laughed. “Wow, okay. That good, huh?”
Sammy appeared from behind Noah, eying the two of them. He was wearing a jade three-piece with a subtle pattern all over the fabric. On the back of his jacket was an intricate scene of embroidered birds flying through the green. “You figure out what this one is looking at?”
Auston groaned as Noah responded, “Apparently it’s ‘none of my business’,” he replied, making the air quotes and everything.
Sammy raised his eyebrows, eyes glinting with that evil little gleam the Omega got often. “Oh, really? Well, whoever you’re talking to must be special for you to keep them away from us. Or is it just a fling?”
Annoyance flared red and hot. There was no world where Charlie could be described as a mere ‘fling.’ “He’s not—” Auston bit his tongue as Sammy immediately grinned.
Aw, fuck.
Sammy elbowed him. “Oh, he, huh?”
Auston’s phone took that opportunity to buzz. The tendons in his hand ached with the need to see what Charlie had sent him. “Fuck off,” he declared happily, marching towards the bathroom while bravely ignoring Sammy’s laughter.
He ensconced himself in one of the bathroom stalls and looked at what Charlie had sent him.
“Fuck,” he hissed.
Charlie was hard, dick pushing against his panties, chest bare, nipples small and pebbled. Because Charlie knew him perfectly, his neck was arched back, giving himself up to Auston.
