AUSTON
Auston leaned against his kitchen counter as his coffee maker worked, scrolling through the pictures on his phone. He’d been talking to his— the Omega for two weeks, but he was already getting fixated.
It wasn’t like Auston was a total freak about dating. It was just that when someone caught his attention, he just wanted…everything. All their time and all their focus, their love, their admiration. He wanted to give just as much, too, was constantly asking to hang out with them, showering them with presents. He wanted to see his Omega wear his clothes, his jewellery, wanted them to smell like him.
It tended to be way too much, way too fast.
And it wasn’t like he didn’t want his Omega to be independent. He was just an obsessive motherfucker with a complete inability to hide it when he was down bad for someone.
He knew it was something he needed to control. His intense nature was what had allowed Hunter to dig his claws into Auston so quickly.
So violently.
As intense as his ex had been, so was Auston, wanting everything Hunter would give him in the beginning. When things had started souring, Auston had been in too deep to see what was really happening.
So this thing with Charlie? It was fucking perfect. The lack of face-to-face contact put a natural stop to how intense Auston could be.
It also helped that the Omega was on the same page as he was. He hadn’t balked at any of Auston’s suggestions. In fact, it was the Omega who pushed it a lot of the time.
It wasn’t like Auston had asked for hole pics, but damned if he didn’t have a whole collection of them in a locked folder on his phone.
Thank fuck he couldn’t smell the Omega, because there was something about him that was pushing all his buttons.
Charlie was gorgeous, sexy, funny, sweet, and had a thing for praise that made Auston feel ten times bigger for being the one to provide it.
The coffee finished brewing, but Auston stayed where he was, too distracted. He’d convinced Charlie to get a PO box where Auston could send him stuff. The little idiot had almost given Auston his real address, but the Alpha had successfully lectured him about internet safety.
“I trust you,” the Omega had said, and fuck if that hadn’t rubbed his ego the right way, no matter how shortsighted that statement had been.
Auston had bookmarked approximately a million pages with things he wanted to send Charlie, but had held back enough to only buy a few.
Auston put his phone away long enough to fix his coffee with plenty of creamer—it’d been a long fucking day, and he needed the pick-me-up to stay functional. Practice had been gruelling in a way which would have meant surface-level exhaustion a few years ago.
Now, it just served to remind him of how fucking old he was getting for this game. He envied normal thirty-seven-year-olds who were in the prime of their life instead of having the body of an eighty-year-old.
His phone chirped, snapping him out of his self-pity. A smile sprang to his face when he saw it was his boy.
He opened the message up, settling in. It was a picture of the Omega in the bath, smooth legs breaching the bubbly water, pale skin gleaming.
The worst thing about this whole situation was that it wasn’t even his cock that twitched at the sight—it was his heart that felt warm at the notion that his baby had taken to treating himself with nice baths.
Charlie
Long day but I’m feeling better now
Aunix
Good to see you treating yourself, baby
Charlie
Thank you Alpha
Tell me about your day though
I want to hear about it
Auston fiddled with his phone, taking a sip of his coffee to buy some time.
