It’s me who should be at a distance with him, considering I still have a boyfriend attached to my name.
But Dominic Wolfe is the worst kind of temptation ever known to mankind. And I am not a saint.
I know deep down that the path I am following will only ruin me, but God, I can’t help it when he is in question.
I take a hurried step back when Dominic’s car stops in front of me suddenly, scaring me slightly.
“Are you mad?” I yell when he lowers the window.
Roy isn’t driving today, which is surprising.
“Slightly, but when it comes to you, a lot,” he says cheekily, and I roll my eyes. “Come in. I will drop you.”
“Don’t bother,” I say, crossing my arms over my chest. “My cab will be here any second.”
“I wasn’t asking, cara mia,” he says, repeating what he has always said whenever I tell him no.
But I’m not budging this time.
“And I don’t care. Please be on your way to wherever you were going,” I say and walk ahead.
A normal person would leave after being told no twice. But Dominic clearly isn’t a normal person. He is quite the opposite of that word.
Because he follows in his car besides me at the slowest pace possible, and it really irks me that he won’t give up.
Why does he have to be so stubborn?
“See, people will notice and think I am following you home,” he says, and I stop, causing him to stop.
“You are following me, Dominic,” I point out the obvious.
“And I won’t if you just step in,” he says. “It’s getting late and your cab isn’t coming anytime soon. My company isn’t so bad, after all.”
“Who says?”
“I do.”
“Leave, Dominic.”
“Sienna, either you are coming in or I will make you. You have three seconds.”
I narrow my eyes at his challenge, and he meets my stare with his own.
He unlocks his car. “One.”
Undoes his seatbelt. “Two.”
“Three.”
He gets out of his car, walking towards me, and I take a step back.
“Don’t you dare—”
Before I can even finish my lame threat, he picks me up by the waist.
“Dominic, put me down.”
“No can do.”
