“I love you more, Ms. Hayes.”

She wraps her arms tightly around me.

“Don’t sleep just yet.” I pull her face upwards. “I’m not done with you yet.”

Sienna Hayes

Iwake up wrapped in Dominic’s embrace. More like he holds me captive under his strong arms, and I have to struggle to get out.

“Stop moving,” he says, his morning voice sending goosebumps down my spine. “Sleep.”

“Get up.” I push against his hand, but he doesn’t move an inch. “We have work.”

“I’m the boss. I can be late,” he whispers, snuggling closer to me. I can’t even be mad at him. I love staying close to him. Wrapped in his arms. There is a sense of peace that comes with having him around, and after living in chaos for so long, I don’t think I can bring myself to let that go.

I stare at his beautiful face, the way his dark hair falls over his forehead, and the way his lashes flutter on his skin. The way his nose is so symmetrical to his face, it’s insane. And his perfectly styled beard is my favorite.

“I can feel you staring,” he says with a smile, finally opening his eyes. He kisses my cheek softly. “This is what I call a good morning.”

“I wasn’t hiding the fact that I was staring,” I say, pressing a kiss on his forehead. He has the most adorable, boyish smile on his face after that, and it makes everything so worth it.

“Let’s stay in bed all day,” he mumbles, pulling me closer, and I laugh at that.

“No, we have to work,” I remind him but snuggle closer in his chest. “But we can stay in bed for five more minutes.”

“Ten.”

“Seven.”

“Eight minutes, tops.”

“Fine,” I sigh. Who can win with Dominic Wolfe anyways?

He stays quiet for a few minutes, and I bask in the comfortable silence. I am still recovering from last night’s bliss, but I know I need to ask what Myra meant. As Reyansh and Aisha said, what Myra said most likely is false, but if it gives me any doubts, I should clear it out with him.

“Can I ask you something?” I ask, and he hums, his hand slowly moving up and down on my back.

“Yesterday, at your office—”

“Our office.”

I look up at him with a teasing smile. “Okay, our office, Myra said something to me that didn’t make any sense, but I am curious to know why she would say something like that.”

He stares at me then. His face dead serious.

“What did she say?”

I bite the inside of my cheek, figuring out if I should sugarcoat it or blurt it out as bluntly as she did.

I go with the second option.

“She said that I have already ruined your life once and that she won’t let me do it again.”

His face contorts in confusion, and I wait for his response.

“What? Why didn’t you tell me then and there?” He questions, his eyes ablaze.

He curses under his breath and I cup his face gently, forcing him to keep looking at me.
